Algae growth on bathroom ceilingMy impression is that the guesthouse is not managed properly<br><b><Establishment's Response:</b><br><i>Dear Alan Edwards,We are sincerely sorry you had such a dreadful stay with us and would like to thank you for your comments, the necessary improvements will be done shortly. Leaking shower-head will be replaced once more. Out of 6 cups in the room, we found one with a very small chip - has been replaced. Yes, there are traces of mildew on the shower's ceiling, we have cleaned this. We are still looking for filth in the communal kitchen, kindly help us finding it.It is a pity that you wasted so much time in the search for default and most likely spoiled your holiday in Addo.</i>"

  "We had a very comfortable stay at the Aardvark in April 2014. Our rondavel room was clean and comfortable and we particularly enjoyed the large, clean kitchen facilities where we could prepare and enjoy our own cooked meals. After being on the road for three months, we decided to stay an extra day and take advantage of the comforts of home like facilities."

  "We were pleasantly surprised with this accommodation. The rondavels were very neat, clean and authentically decorated. Our stay was great value for money in this tourist hot spot. There are shared self-catering facilities in a separate building, however, there was adequate space and we didn't ever feel as though we were cramped. Only thing that would make the rooms even better would be to have a small bar fridge."

  "The book in procedure was very efficient and the owners made us feel welcome in explaining everything on our welcome tour. The rooms are nicely decorated, nicely cleaned and well equipt for the cold. Overall a nice stay and we will use Aardvark again."

  "We enjoyed our stay at the Aardvark Guest House in the safari tent very much. Their kitchen is well equipped and the bathrooms clean. Unfortunately hot water seems to be a problem some times. Their tariffs are very affordable."

Het bleek echter dat wij via SafariNow.com meer hebben betaald, dan ter plaatse wordt aangeboden. Het verschil ad. R 120 zien we graag teruggeboekt. Hiddo Kuipers"

  "We found our stay most enjoyable. Our host met us and took us on a tour of his establishment. The interior of the chalets is well appointed. With the extreme heat we were experiencing we especially appreciated the fans which ran all night. Somehow this photo doesn't do justice to the accommodation."

  "We enjoyed our stay to the max with friendly hosts and comfortable, neat and clean accommodation where we felt very safe. Think the one restaurant and shop nearby is called Lenmore - they are highly recommended and their quiche is a must eat, they are also very helpful and friendly. The Elephant Park is also really close by and we enjoyed our visit."

  "We were unable to find a suitable combination of accommodation inside Addo Park; a Google search drew our attention to Aardvark. We never looked back. Daniel and Claude were very accommodating to our needs. Two couples, one single adult and an infant for three nights. Brilliant, friendly and all fellow visitors were on the same wavelength. Relaxed, laid-back and interesting."

  "We stayed for 3 nights and wish it could be longer. Everything spotlessly clean and tidy; peaceful atmosphere; we could hear the hyenas laughing at night! Our Aardvark hosts were very friendly and helpful and very relaxed about the use of their facilities. We spent a full day in theAddo Park and the next day hiking through the spectacular Zuurberg mountains with its display of variety of vegetation types. All in all a stunning few days. "

  "The Aardvark is excellent value for money. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the facilities (kitchen, BBQ area etc) are all very useful and well maintained. Great location for the Addo elephant park. Only thing this place is lacking is a pool as Addo is VERY hot however I'd definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend this accommodation. "
