  • "Clean comfortable room"

    15 August 2022

"Coffee station could be improved. There were no teaspoons and a rusk or two would have been appreciated."

  • "The comfortable room and the caring staff"

    21 December 2019

"What a lovely host we had, she waited for our phone call at 11pm to open up for us. The bed was so cozy, my family slept so well. Everything was clean and fresh."

  • "Worst experience"

    03 March 2019

"I didn't expect that I would be spending 2 nights in a room that looked like a shack on the outside in Soweto JHB. The rooms looked decent inside but bad on the outside. The bed was making a skwiki sound all night when you try to roll side to side. The pool was dirty and we were given milk which was expiring on the same day we were being served breakfast (02/03/2019). The wifi network was not available in the rooms, since we were accommodated in rooms which were far away from better looking rooms which were close to the pool side. The block that we were accommodated in is not shown on the website since no one can pay their money to stay in such rooms. I wish there was an option to attach picture so that everyone can see how badly we were accommodated. I would never think twice on visiting the place ever in my life. I don't even know why its rated 3 stars"

  • "Overpriced derelict disaster"

    15 March 2013

"Booking process via Safari was perfect. But oh dear, the Saddle Down is at best a one or two star, Even at half the R750 per night rip off, the green pool, weeds, derelict "gardens", no liquor license or operational credit card was outrageous. Safari is harming their reputation to represent this dive."
