Amanzimtoti Beach Rest is an upmarket, owner-managed guest house conveniently situated 200m from Amanzimtotis magnificent beachfront in picturesque KwaZulu-Natal. Amanzimtoti is the gateway to the South Coast, paradise of the Zulu Kingdom. If you are travelling on holiday, come and experience our relaxed tropical environment. For business travellers, we have more than 50 years of combined corporate experience, well adjusted to provide congenial corporate accommodation.
Amanzimtoti Beach Rest is primly located only 20 minutes south from the city of Durban and we are also within walking distance of all amenities you may need during your stay. We boast nine tastefully decorated en-suite bedrooms, each fitted with hotel DStv, air-conditioning, a hospitality tray, digital safe, and wireless Internet. If security is your concern, relax and have peace of mind, with CCTV monitored premises and our secure, shaded off-road parking. We also offer barbecue facilities in the tranquil surrounds of our garden, featuring waterfalls and streams enticing a variety of wild birds and butterflies.
We aim to make your stay with us comfortable and convenient. If you are travelling to or from King Shaka International Airport, we offer a shuttle service to alleviate you of potential transport problems. We serve breakfast at your convenience daily until 9am, and a laundry service is available on site for those on prolonged stays. Other services include access to office facilities and dinners and tours are available on request.
There are many amenities to make use of when staying with us. Within walking distance you can find the famed Amanzimtoti swimming and surfing beach, Splash Water World, Funland Entertainment Centre, ten-pin bowling, beach horse riding, fishing, night clubs, flea markets, restaurants and more.
If you are feeling more adventurous, you may elect to drive further and discover many great assets of the KwaZulu-Natal province. These include sporting facilities of every choice, golf, scuba diving, bungee jumping, dolphin viewing, croc viewing, Marine World, game parks, sailing, gorging, mountain climbing, Midlands Meander, township tours, helicopter rides, hot-air ballooning, microlight flights, forest foofey sliding, ice skating, live theatre, cinemas, IMAX, and world-class casinos. Alternatively, shop until you drop at the Galleria shopping complex, within a 3 km drive.

It was wonderful having them pick us up at the airport after we returned our rental car to take us to their guesthouse. We had a pleasant restful evening and a delicious breakfast --after which they took us back to the airport for our flight to Capetown.Thanks, Kim and Gordon!"

05 May 2008"A couple of minutes from Durban.I did not feel safe to go to the nearest entertainment areas.Response from establishment :We were delighted to host Thabo. We did explain to all our guests that Amanzimtoti employs private security (CCPO) to watch over our streets in addition to our Metro Police, however, walking anywhere in our country at night does require common sense.I will notify our Metro Police and our community policing forum of Thabo's comments from a Tourism perspective."

09 April 2008"We were well received within a second of arriving. The hostess was friendly and accomodating and immediately made us feel at home. The room was very well decorated and the bed was good. When we left at 5.30am the hostess was there to see us off.We were greatly impressed and our expectations were exceeded by far.
