  "The reason why I am saying that I was so disappointed about my booking. my room shown on this picture is not what I got for my mother's birthday and she was so unhappy. Firstly my room could not be found when I wanted to check in till I had to send an email with copied booking confirmation. My Mother was given a room with 6 Bunk Beds and I was not happy finding my mother in that room in the next morning.What is shown in this picture is not what I got and when making a booking this is the room I choose."

  "It was very much appreciated that there was perfect understanding that I needed a room for me and my 7 year old daughter. An excellent rate was given and it made things go nice and smoothly. The only thing that was disappointing, but wasn't too much of a train smash, was that there was no power point in the room (room 7)."

  "i felt extremely uncomfortable and mislead as there were alot of undisclosed information that had not been provided for eg after checking in the following day getting family come over then to be told infront of guests that no visitors are allowed, I think that is very unprofessional and that should have been told on day of check-in"

  "Had a great stay, loved the customer service. Had a small issue and it was resolved very quickly. My suggestion would be to add towels as well as dish cloths esp in family rooms. Also, if someone is staying for longer than two days perhaps add cleaning service at a cost."

  "The staff were very helpful as we had not stated that we will also have a 5m long trailer and would need the extra space for the trailer. As we had come down for our business, so we had some picnic tables on the trailer. We had asked them if they had space for the trailer. They said that we do not have to worry as they do have the space for it. And it will be in a locked up parking area and we don't have to worry about is. We would like to say thank you very much. Will see them again soon"

  "The accomodation was clean and neat. bathrooms clean and real value for money. But the surrounding nightlife is loud and was going on till after 4 am in the morning on Sunday. So if you do want to stay there. take earplugs or join the nighlife. Unfortunately a night of no sleep results in you not enjoying your next day at the beach<div><br /></div>"

  "Ballito Backpackers is all you need for a nice quiet evening until around 22:00 then it's party time. The staff are very friendly and helpful to share information about the area. Kepi it up. Young ones, you need to go, you will never regret it."

  "It was the worse experience in my life. I lost +/- R10 000 due to misleading advertizing.We booked in on 23 December and had to book out on the 24 December 2013 and had to look for new accommondation due to poor maintenance and load music during the night; according to the advertising all the rooms have air-conditionings in them? They dont even work ?????The beds are in poor conditions the kitchine are of poor quality everything in this place is old. They dont say anything about the load music during the night; the place is surrounded by night clubs. The entire advertising of this place is misleading !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even the PHOTOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

  "For a start, the photo on this page of the barstools and umbrella near the sea-shore is a nearby restaurant, NOT the backpackers. This is misrepresentation. We had great difficulty even finding the entrance to the backpackers since it is on the upper floors of a half-empty office block and there was poor signage. The room was clean but consisted of only 4 bunkbeds, a small chair and 4 hooks. The showers were up another level at the end of a spooky corridor, and there was no hot water at the time we stayed. The kitchen was big but was untidy with half-eaten meals on the benches and dishes in the sink. The Fire Escape to the roof was padlocked. The lounge area was tatty and ripped. There was no Wifi and no towel hire available. We had to find someone to unlock the car park gate when we wanted to leave at 8.20am. There is a Nightclub on the same premises and the noise pounded from 11pm until 2am - great for party-goers but not if you need to sleep. There were also fights on the street outside when the club closed. Even though we are an older couple, we're not stodgy and have stayed in many backpackers around the world. We'll never go back there."
