"With its rustic beauty, the well equipped Berghuisie is must for travellers in the area. Being mid winter, we enjoyed a lovely evening in front of a crackling fire and braved the outdoor shower the next morning. We loved watching the birds. This place speaks to the soul. I wish we could have stayed longer.<div><br /></div>"

  • "Barberton Lodge"

    06 June 2013

"Super houses in lovely location on hill above (not very exciting) Barberton. Don't forget all you need for your stay as the drive up the track takes 25 minutes in an ordinary car, and takes care. Great place to do nothing."

  • "Peaceful- perfect for R&R"

    29 March 2013

"We loved Barberton Mountain Lodge. The rolling mist and constant rain made it the perfect relaxing getaway. This spot is perfect - we will definitely be back again. There are so many places to visit with each other: in front of the fire, on tha deck, by the boma. You definitely need a 4x4 for the dirt road up the mountain. Maybe a shower in the indoor bathroom would be an advantage, but apart from that eevrything was perfect. Adri was a wonderful host - she even left us flowers in the bedroom and chocotales on the bed. We will definitely be back! Thank you!"

  • "Priceless"

    20 February 2013

  • "Great!"

    19 February 2013

    "It was great! Very romantic."

  • "Great stay"

    17 February 2013

"Nice and clean. Lovely views. Request the heated pool to be turned on prior to arrival, it was still cold by 7:00 at night and we turned it on at 15:00 after arriving in summer. Also we thought the berghuisie is alone standing but the owners house is behind the berghuisie only a few meters away. Great stay and if you have a 4x4 we would recommend it."

  • "Five star accommodation!"

    11 December 2012

  • "Amazing!"

    05 September 2012

"Everything and more!!!! most amazing place with spectacular views. Lovely bedrooms and fully equipped house. We really enjoyed it. One drawback is the road is very bad and you need a 4x4. Thanx!"

  • "Berghuisie chill-out"

  • "Homely place"

    05 September 2011

"What a lovely, homely place. The view is so fantastic, the owner is a warm welcoming person. All the extras like in your own home or better. Thank you for a great weekend and it is a pity that we had to leave."
