"This charming little cottage is well equipped and very comfortable. The inside fireplace makes winters evenings an absolute pleasure and the views from the stoep and great to sit and enjoy on a sunny day."
"We are a family of 5 from Northern Ireland trying to squeeze in as much as possible in our 19 day holiday in SA. We stopped in Barrydale for one night en route from Cape Town to Knysna. Inkaroo Cottage is a real find in a fabulous village..An Intimate , charming, peaceful and restful cottage in a lovely location close to the village centre. We stayed for a night but the location deserves more."
"Lovely cottage in the cute town of Barrydale. Easy walking distance to everything yet on a quiet patch of land with beautiful views over the town and the mountains. Highly recommended!"
"Inkaroo Cottage was very comfortable and spacious, with a magnificent view. The hotel provided an excellent supper. An excellent stopover."
"Lovely, peaceful setting - privately tucked away on the edge of town. Cute, beautiful decorated little cottage.Just take a braai container for your 'tjoppies'."
"A greatspot,well located,with a professional and kind host."
"Friends recommended this place and we loved it. Beautiful in it's simplicity, the dry stone walling particularly gorgeous. Quirky dcor and friendly owner. A bit of kindling would not have gone amiss, although I'm very proud of my new found fire making skills!"
"The cottage is charming, cosy and beautifully decorated with a gorgeous fireplace and a friendly and helpful host!"
"The building is a Santa Fe style house with lots of warmth and character. It was a joy to spend time in. Danny is an excellent host and we'd happily stay here again if possible."
"Great place to stay with a few friends, family or your partner. Its very peaceful and nicely finished. The photos really don't do it justice. The view is amazing, we sat chilled out on the veranda most our stay.Walking distance to the restaurants, there is a nice hike which you can start from the door step. If you are looking for complete isolation its not that,"
"We stayed at the Inkaroo Cottage on the 26th of April. The cottage is well equipment with everything you need. Grateful for no tv and access to Wi-Fi was a bonus. Overlooking the town of Barrydale was magic. We braaid the evening under a beautiful veranda and had coffee on the front stoep the next morning. Everything you need for a stopover. I would suggest you stay longer, you will see why."
"Perfect place to relax. This cottage has everything you need and more. Comfy bed with crisp linen. Beautiful decor, well equipped kitchen, privacy, views, dam to swim in and a great atmosphere."
"We stayed only one night in this beautiful little cottage but we wish we could have stayed longer...Beautifully decorated, located in a quiet place but walking distance to the village.."
"nice decorated, wooden fireplace inside"
"Great house in Barrydale. Walking distance to everything. The cottage was clean and neat and perfect for us with our dogs. The Wi-Fi was fast and a lovely treat, the shower and bath were huge and amazing. The kitchen worked well. Cute little braai area. Was a bit concerned with its proximity to the mountain bushes. Only small extra would be if they had a proper fence around the property. Our dogs loved it here but they also love chasing critters...so we had to constantly keep an eye on them. Not ideal for relaxing. Other than that a great stay."
"<br/>Yes we enjoyed our stay! Lovely and peaceful venue. However place needs a good clean up as cobwebs everywhere and dirty bedding on beds in loft. Also only one toilet roll supplied for weekend and no soap. Also no bathroom mat. For the price we paid, I expected more!<br/>A bonus would have been a TV or radio.<br/>Thank you,<br/>Joyce"
"We stayed here for a winter weekend and really enjoyed it. The cottage is well appointed and the indoor fireplace was a real treat. Rooms are comfortable and the kids loved the loft upstairs. Its just off the main (busy) road but this becomes vert quiet after 6 pm. Great host (Dan) and you can join him for a beer anytime at the Dung-beetle bar.<div>Well priced!</div>"
"<div>We made this booking for family visiting from New Zealand who had never experienced the Karoo landscape. They loved the dcor in the cottage as well as the beautiful view across the valley. Loved it and recommended us to try it some time. Thank you for looking after them so well.</div><div></div>"
"Unfortunately our stay started with a dissapointing discovery. The cottage was beautiful until we noticed that the loft beds' bedding was on the floor in a heap and that someone had been sleeping in it very recently. Also it is the first time that I have experienced that bedding isn't ironed (how else would you know if it was cleaned or if the bedding was changed since the previous booking??).<div><br /></div><div>When I queried this, the answer was quite shocking.. Aparrently they felt it wasn't necessary to change the bedding in the loft (there was a booking the previous day) as we were only two people and probably wouldn't be using the beds. Also, the bedding normally isn't ironed. Honestly.. I have never been so dissapointed with a booking before and it spoiled the whole stay for my mom and I. However when we returned to the cottage the loft beds were made, obviously too late. What a shame though, it is tiny things like these that turn a great experience into a "I would never go back" one.</div>"
"<div>My first experience in the Klein Karoo and so happy to have spent it at Inkaroo. There is such a peaceful energy, and a 180 degree raised view of the stunning town of Barrydale from the stoep. It catered to our every need with a wood-burning fireplace, comfortable furniture, large shower and a bath built into the corner from the stone that the cottage itself is made of.<span style="font-size: 1em; line-height: 1.5;">The cafe's, shops and restaurants are all within walking distance too. Do yourself a favour.</span></div>"
"It was a wonderful place. Hosts are warm and welcoming. The cottage was cosy and spacious and close enough to walk to town to explore."
"Loved Inkaroo Cottage, peaceful, quite and serene, will stay again any time. Thank you Heather and Dan!<br />"
"Last November 2014 we stayed at the Inkaroo Guest House in Barrydale. The stay was a dream, the rooms are furnished in a modern South African style. The beds are comfortable and the House is equipped with all the necessary kitchen equipment. Plenty hot water, and a romantic bathroom completes this nice House. The place is extremely quiet and the view in the valley is superb. Enough place to park your car. We had time for a only one night stay, but we can recommend the accommodation for a few weeks stay!<div>Bob Vos Utrecht The Netherlands </div>"

"We really enjoyed our weekend at Inkaroo cottage,it was perfect for a relaxed weekend in the village. Walked everywhere, and chilled in the very comfortable and atmospheric accommodation."
"We absolutely loved staying at the Inkaroo cottage. It was so chic and comfortable. We appreciated the amount of detail that went into the place and how helpful Dan and Heather were. The cottage has the best location, we felt secluded enough and close enough to walk to all the Restuarants and shops. Barrydale took us completely by surprise and we will definitely go back again and stay at Inkaroo cottage."
"The town of Barrydale has always been a favourite holiday spot, and once again, thanks to Inkaroo Cottage, we had a great relaxing stay in this R62 getaway oasis. The accommodation is accurately represented on SafariNow, but the pictures do not do it justice, as the character and furnishings of the house are great. The surroundings however, not shown in any of the pictures could be either a deterrent or an incentive for some travellers, as the Cottage is built on a plot right next to the graveyard. For me, this only added to the charm, and made for some great sunset photo opportunities. I would recommend Inkaroo Cottage to anyone looking for stylish and interesting self catering options in Barrydale."
"Nice view and peaceful, but a bit cold in the winter."
"We spent 2 relaxing nights at Inkaroo. The house is immaculate and very tastefully decorated. The house comes with all the amenities one could ask for in a self catering cottage and is very centrally situated.Inkaroo is perfect for those wanting to escape the rat race and is highly recommended for lazy days filled with afternoon naps, sundowners on the terrace overlooking the beautiful mountains, peace & tranquility."
"Inkaroo is an oasis of peace tucked away in the pretty town of Barrydale. The cottage is spacious and decorated with flair. You can even enjoy a braai in the shady rear courtyard or a swim in the dam. A great overnight stopover or a base for an extended stay."
"A comfortable cottage well situated in Barrydale. The decor is beautiful and natural, very comfortable. very friendly and efficient welcome. Dog friendly inline with warnings of lack of fencing. Terrible tick problem which I believe is seasonal. All in all a great long weekend stay and fairly priced."
"This is such a beautifull cottage. And the views...we enjoyed it very much!"
"It was really wonderful to stay at this lovely cottage! Thank you Heather!"
"We had a lovely night in Inkaroo Cottage and would thoroughly recommend it for a couple wanting to stay in Barrydale."
"Even though it was very hot, the doors and windows design allows plenty of air flow to keep the house from getting too hot. Sitting on the covered concrete couch at the front of the house looking at the view was the best. It faces south-east, so it is perfect for the afternoon chill spot. I can recommend this cottage for a relaxing weekend."
"We really did enjoy our stay at the cottage. Its a cosy and very comfortable space. Thanks to Dan and Heather for their assistance in getting us comfortable and settled. This self-catering accomodation is without doubt the best in the village!"
