Bo-Kloof Guest Farm

Bo-Kloof offers a cottage, a guest house and seven beautiful spots for camping. Kolgans Cottage is a beautifully situated wooden cottage, sleeping a maximum of four people.

The guest house offers beds for up to 6 people. One bedroom has a double and two single beds, the second room has two single beds and also serves as kitchen. Linen and towels are provided. There is one bathroom with a bath and shower. The kitchen is equipped with a two-plate stove and oven, a microwave, a fridge-freezer and cutlery and crockery. Dinner and breakfast is available for those who prefer not to self-cater.

The campsite is about 1.5 km from the guest house. The shared ablution block consists of four flush toilets and two hot water showers. Electricity is available in the ablution block, but not at the stands. Guests should bring their own extension cords. Seven stands are available, with three of the stands big enough to cater for groups with two to four vehicles and tents. We try not to have more than 40 people in the campsite at one time. Depending on the amount of rainfall, a pond is nearby for swimming.

Activities in and around Bo-Kloof include horse riding, hiking or mountain biking and birdwatching. Enjoy the 8 km 4x4 route that will take you to the top of the southern mountain range. Rock climbing enthusiasts can get their permits from Bo-Kloof reception and enjoy Waterkloof. This hike is easily accessible and can take one and a half hours to complete, although you would want to spend your day there.

"One of the best places to stay when visiting Baviaanskloof. The farm is central with easy access from the main road. The accommodation is clean, private, quiet and comfortable. We spent a full week and enjoyed every moment. It can definitely be recommended. The geology and walk in the Waterkloof is fantastic."

"Beautiful place. Friendly hosts (Anina and Quintis). Thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the working farm in very spacious accommodation. The highlight of our stay was Skollie, the famous guide dog of Baviaanskloof showing me his kloof. Although he is quite old (13) and a bit deaf he is still very agile and carefully showed me the the best route, waiting for me when I took photos. Skollie does not walk with you. You walk with Skollie. The Waterkloof is breath taking beautiful and a must see."

"Really enjoyed our overnight stay at Bo-Kloof GuestFarm. Peaceful and serene setting - lovely cottage. Loved the walk to the waterfall amazingly lead by family dog who took us up one way and down another. Stopped and waited for us if we took too long and walked us right back to the cottage. Very impressed. Our visit was too short."

"Baie dankie vir 'n heerlike verblyf. Die Kolgans huisie is hoogs aan te beveel en mens kan nie anders as om rustig te raak hier nie. Die staptog na die kloof was een groot verrassing. Ongelukkig was Skollie, die gidshond, besig om saam met sy baas te boer toe ons die kloof in was. Soveel natuurskoon...iemand wat nie glo dat daar 'n Skepper is nie moet regtig weer dink.
