Paternoster is a small, unspoilt fishing village located on the West Coast, 145 km north of Cape Town on the coastal Route 27 and through Vredenburg on the R45.
Oppidraai A is a rustic self-catering cottage in the quieter section of the village. It comprises three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen, making it perfect for small families or a group of friends (maximum of six guests). It is within walking distance of a secluded beach, and located approximately two kilometres from the village centre.
The village is an all-year-round destination, famous for its strong traditional fishermans architecture and endless pristine sandy beaches. Watch whales and dolphins frolicking in the waters of the Atlantic Ocean and enjoy the breathtaking sunsets.
When the first spring rains fall, millions of indigenous flowers open up and densely carpet the earth in bright bursts of colour. The area is home to more than 250 species of birds, with sea birds like the Oystercatcher using this coastline as their breeding ground. There are also a variety of small mammals, with an occasional sighting of the strand wolf.
