  "hi my stay was a peaceful and relaxing one, i only have a issue with the kettle and microwave thar wasnt working the way it supposed to be working, microwaveable food took for then 10 minutes to heat up whilst the package says 2-3 minutes. please can this be addressed for others using the facilities<br/>thanks"

  "We went to Hide Away for the Easter Weekend. Upon arrival I had to phone reception to come and clean the fridge before I could use it. It smelled like a dirty diaper! Still had spilled food and sauces in from the previous tenants. I also requested them to send me some chairs to use with the outside table (like all the other units had). I am still waiting. I then had to phone reception again to come and clean the dirty dishes that the previous tenants left. I HAVE PHOTOS TO PROOF THIS! The pan was miffed, the food where still on the plates and dishing spoon. The coffee rings where still in the cups. Even the lady that came to clean could not believe it. I phone Phillip the owner, whom at that time was in town. I left him an sms, requesting for him to come and see us because we are not happy with the state of the unit nor with the facilities that they advertise which is not available and a just a sales gimmick! He replied with and sms , stating his in town, Sorry!. I phoned him again the next morning. His response to my request where, I am not attending to a bunch of visitors who is paranoid over a couple of break ins, which by the way happened to two other tenants. I explained to him that I would like to discuss the issues that I have EG: the false advertising of facilities available. Hes response where, If you dont like it, pack up and go, with no refund. That is exactly what we and 4 other families did. I specifically emailed him before the trip enquiring about the restaurant. His reply, Yes we do have a restaurant on the premises - This where closed the entire time we where there - Never opened! I am pissed off and disgusted. I actually have the contact numbers of the other tenants as well and we WILL take this further!"

  "Unfortunately we didn't have a good experience at hideaway. We arrived there to find out that the swimming pools were empty. We left to find another place but returned after two days to find that they filled two of the three pools after we lodged a complaint. We stayed over for 1 night just to find out that hideaway does not offer peace and quiet,but rather caters for those out for a party. We had loud music till very late in the evening,that with two small children. I was extremely disappointed with the chalets, at the price we paid for one night one wouldn't expect dust on crockery and damaged chairs that could hurt you. The outside chairs were also dirty and no cleaning equipment is available. You also need to bring your own towels,once again for the price we paid and compared to what other places have to offer a complete ripoff.At the time I found it quint that hideaway sent me an email beforehand reminding me to bring my own dishwash liquid and cloths,well there is no room service.You are promptly asked by a notice not to leave any dirty cutlery,pots or pans or risk losing your deposit.All in all the only good thing was the way the receptionist helped us,everything else was a huge disappointment and we would never go to hideaway again. Hideaway has brilliant marketing and promises, unfortunately it is just promises. Their website is not giving a true reflection of what one is to expect there."

  "Beautiful setting, but unit cleanliness needs to be addressed. Things like lipstick marks and coffee stains of previous tenants on coffee mugs and unwashed cutlery are some examples, dirty blankets with obvious food stains are other examples.Main bed's matress needs to be replaced as it is worn out, it is also to big for the bed.The stove was a mess and didn't have a door handle any more while the handles of one of the only 2 pots was replaced by what looked like a handle from a bathroom cabinet.If you think that you can spend a week enjoying the scenary and facilities, you'll be dissapointed. The 4 sleeper unit is so small, you need to go outside to change your mind ... there is no living area, and the kitchen consists of a bar counter top with a basin. Once you move the portable stove from the dining table to the counter and put it next to the microwave, you are left with counterspace of 40 cm x 40 cm.Overall, disappointed!"

  "Lovely Chalets and facilities. We thourougly enjoyed the jacuzzi and hot pools but not suitable for families with kids. There are no couches to sit on and the four sleeper is very small. We didn't have hot water to shower so make sure you find out the after hours contact number for emergencies."

  "I had a wonderful holiday Rahaba at Hideaway, you are so wonderful really I cant stop talking about Hideaway and you keep it up and ntate molefe they have been so wonderful. The problem is cleaners they dont clean they do touch ups not nice and the pots at the chalets are too small."

  "The place was so nice and would recommend for any couple or family that wants to just connect. Its ideal for honeymooner's. Its a nice place to relax bring all that you need and enjoy warm and cold pools. The staff are great spend time with the Bar man and he will make you feel at home."

  "We arrived after the office had closed only to find that after asking for child friendly accommodation, the chalet did not even have a couch to sit on. I'm not sure how you expect families to relax at a small dining room table? We were very disappointed and had to find somewhere else late at night with 2 small children!"

  "It was very relaxing. We enjoyed the Jacuzzi's a lot, but the directions was not very clear and we got lost for more than an hour after being given directions from the lady at your reception. Other than that, we had a nice time. Will definitely go there again."

  "A really great place to go to with friends. It was comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen and linen provided. We enjoyed the various activities like the game drives and walking around their wildlife reserve. However, we didn't have enough time to try out the paintballing and other activities. There was a great atmosphere with friendly staff. At night a large bon-fire was made for everyone to sit around."

  "The stay was not what we expected. The chalets was not clean. There were spiderwebs all over the place, insect poo all over. The cutlery and glases, and coffee mugs was dirty. On the coffee mugs the lipstick of the previous person was still on the mug. Saturday the cleaners didn't even come in to clean although it stands on their leaflet that they do have cleaning services. Really not worth the money"
