Experience the wealth and luxury of yesteryear at this historical property built in 1895. Our eight elegantly decorated rooms can accommodate up to 18 guests, and are all en-suite with either a bath or shower. We are centrally situated and within walking distance from most of Kimberleys historical homes and monuments as well as the citys business centre, shopping malls, art galleries, theatre, private hospitals, Karen Muir swimming pool, and restaurants.
We also offer a tea garden which specialists in picnics. Elri and Lyndon de Meillon are the owners. Our friendly and efficient staff will cater to your every need. Come relax in our shady garden under the beloved mulberry tree and enjoy the sparkle of Kimberley.
"The Guesthouse was a little disappointing - we were expecting more of an historic experience around Cecil John Rhodes! We were the only guests and the place is a bit tired. The aircon was not working properly (it leaked water) and the lights were ugly (the globes didn't fit the lamps). As an overnight stop it was adequate. The rooms are large but lacked comfortable chairs to lounge in!"

"Gary and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cecil John Rhodes Guest House...23.5.2015. Perfect in every way. Going back in history we actually stayed in the very house that Cecil J R lived in...."
"The directions to the Guest House were appalling: it was listed as being in Du Toitspan Way (which doesn't exist) and the cell phone number given was inaccurate. Consequently it took us over 40 minutes to find the property. Once there, we found the location was central, the rooms clean and comfortable, and the front garden a joy to relax in, and the duty manager helpful."
"It was mediocre."
"Kudos to the staff, I really enjoyed my stay as CJR."
