  • "Wonderful Refreshing Stay"

"We thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality offered by Remy and Cathy. The Lodge is beautifully decorated with a definite French Flair. If you choose, you can enjoy French/SA cuisine at their restaurant, or simply braai next to the pool. Our leisurely breakfast on the deck overlooking the river was one of the highlights of our stay.<div>Exceptional value for money for our family stopover.</div>"

  • "Not overwhelmed"

    28 March 2016

"They advertise as Belvedere, but it wasn't in the Belvedere neighborhood, its phantom pass. The rooms and hotel were quaint and sufficient, unfortunately the smell is quite overwhelming, sewerage smell which I am not sure is from the lake or plumbing.&nbsp; The owner raved about his own french restaurant (which was not open for dinner) and how we would have breakfast there, and in all honesty it was the worst breakfast I have had pretty much anywhere.&nbsp; The bacon was gross, the toast dead, the eggs and omlette dripping in oil.&nbsp; All I ate was one of the only 3 options for cereal, and on the buffet was that and fruit salad + yoghurt, not exactly a full buffet breakfast.&nbsp; <br />"

  • "Absolutely wonderful"

"Had an amazing stay and was upgraded to the "Honeymoon Suite" very relaxing and peaceful. Exactly what was needed. The service was friendly and we were allowed to just be and enjoy all the facilities. The room was prettily furnished and we enjoyed the privacy. The breakfast omelette was very tastefully served. No skimping on the filling. Overall a wonderful, laid back atmosphere. Will definitely be going back and will recommend establishment to all. Thank you for a lovely weekend!"
