  • "The wonderful breakfasts"

    28 October 2018

"The breakfast. Ideally DSTV instead of OVHD - but I understand the cost of the DSTV is an inhibiting factor. Location is very convenient"

  • "Botany Bay Lodge"

    14 October 2016

"We stayed one night in Botany Bay and found the location perfect. The room was clean and neat and we met one of the owners, Stacey, whom was extremely helpful and friendly and even dropped us off in Musgrave, which was a huge help. If you are looking for a friendly location to explore Durban, this place was perfect for our needs."

  • "Filthy but welcoming"

    23 December 2013

"It's a nice and warm guest house but maybe the owner would think of proper cleaning of the bar area outside. It was filthy hence me and my family could not utilise it."

  • "Great Location, but too much noise"

    08 July 2013

"We enjoyed our stay and the house is a nice old wooden floored beauty in a great central location close to downtown and opposite the Botanical Gardens. Stacy welcomed us very nicely and Lilly the caretaker made us tasty breakfast each morning and was very friendly. Only problem was the noise. Our room was only a thin wooden door away from the main breakfast dining room and we were woken up very early every day by the preparation and eating of breakfast. Also, the dogs barked and whined at all hours."

  • "Strictly okay"

    27 December 2012

"I stayed here for 3 nights. Overall, the stay was comfortable, but it's the service that is missing big time. I felt like I was more in a self catering lodge, rather than a bed and breakfast place - for example, no staff was available when I arrived, rather I received instructions on phone on how to get to my room. On all days, I felt as if I was served breakfast more as an obligation - I had to ask for extra toast, coffee, etc. Eventually, I got what I wanted, but got this un-welcome feeling at all times."

  • "Thank you"

    23 August 2012

"Ernesta's our daughter who booked it as a birthday gift. It was very pleasant, the room was spacious nd attractive, but we could have done with a chair, especially as my husband has a back problem and sitting on a bed is not advisable for bad backs. The breakfast was excellent. Thank you very much."
