Birdsong Cottages Number Nine Poplar Drive
Birdsong Cottage is nestled into the side of the hill overlooking the forest and the lower reaches of the mountain. The centrally located Champagne Valley is a superb holiday destination situated just two hours from Durban and three to four hours from Johannesburg.
There are three bedrooms with private bathrooms. The dining and lounge areas open onto a large wooden deck overlooking a lake, forest and the rolling hills of the lower Berg. There is a modern kitchen with a gashob, dishwasher, fridge and microwave and fine crockery. There is a daily cleaning service for your comfort. We offer complimentary WiFi and access to a limited DSTV bouquet During the winter months, the Jetmaster fireplace quickly heats the living area to a cosy level of comfort. The bedrooms have fans for the summer and radiators for the winter.
During the early mornings and evenings, bushbuck and duiker may be seen from here. Other animals found in the immediate area include, serval, porcupine, jackal, baboon, vervet monkeys and several species of mongoose as well as the Cape clawless otter. A nearby Vultures Restaurant ensures frequent overhead sightings of the Cape vulture.

01 October 2013"We stayed for a couple of days and got in some decent hiking despite the rain. The house is a fantastic base and offers all the modern luxuries of home. The kids enjoyed the full suite of their DSTV channels (included). Great views from the outside deck. The inside is very spacious. The location is quiet and safe."

Birdsong Cottage is the cleanest place ever and the house is well furnished and has everything anyone needs, from cutlery, serving dishes, etc! It was home away from home! The owners were good as well. And did I mention there's a lady who comes in on a daily basis to clean the house? This was the most amazing weekend away! We will definitely come back for more fun!"
