  "Easy to find, central location in Bettys Bay with beautiful view of the sea. Easy access via footpath to sea. Accommodation more on the rustic side, but not lacking in anything. Nice to have a full stove with oven and large fridge available."

  "I found the cottage neat, providing all the basics that one needs for a break-away from the busy city life. Enjoyed the closeness to nature and the private setting. Will definitely book at Ambre Cottage again! Would enjoy a few Dstv channels, including a Sports channel for a wider choice of programming - would probably increase the tariff though."

  "We really enjoyed our stay at Amber Cottage. Upon arrival everything was neat and tidy. Everything was so convenient. Close to the beach, whale watching, penguins, even nice to just stay in. Loved the fact that it had an oven as well as the stovetop. I will definitely go back."

View is amazing, great outdoor activities close by, beach in walking distance and bird songs heavenly.<div><br /></div><div>Place was clean and tidy and shower was great! Being along your own bedding though if you are fussy about sheets.</div><div><br /></div><div>Will be visiting again soon.</div>"

  "The worse accomoddation one can imagine.<div><br /></div><div>The owener just open the cottage for us and than he disaperaed in a hurry.</div><div><br /></div><div>After that we understood why.</div><div><br /></div><div>The cottage was dirty, utidied with dust everywhere even trash from previous guests was not removed.</div><div><br /></div><div>We had reservation and had payed for 3 nights but we left after two nights and we have to find some other and at least clean place.</div><div><br /></div><div>We do not understand how one can rent such a place.</div>"

  "The cutlery and crockery items were all filthy. All the utensils, crockery, pots and pans required cleaning before they could be used. The dishwashing liquid provided was watered down to an absurd level. The oven contained a tray that also not been cleaned. All in all this left a rather sour taste. When we reported this on our departure, no apology was forth coming nor was there any acknowledgment of the problem. It was very peculiar response and as such the cottage only receives a 1 star rating."

  "We enjoyed our stay at Ambre, it is a nice quite area, very close to Betty's Bay attractions. Darryl, the owner of the cottage, was a wonderful host. He made contact with us very early on giving us very detailed directions and useful information regarding amenities which we found to be very helpful. If you are looking for a good old tranquil and laid back chill zone, the Ambre is for you."

  "My husband and I had a lovely mid-February weekend getaway at Ambre Cottage. Very private and secluded, lovely view, a beautiful walk down to the beach and very close to the botanical garden which is a must-see.I would recommend this to anyone who needs a quiet break from the city. We will most definitely be back!"
