"This was a break-away stay for us as an couple before our baby arrives in June. What a lovely time we had. We could just relax and enjoy the quietness, or drive out to do the last bit of baby-shopping.<div><br /></div><div>Absolutely love the house! Had everything we needed. Lovely garden! • "2 weeks in George"

    17 August 2014

"A 2 week stay that was cut short through unexpected circumstances, and a refund was only offered if the two nights could be refilled again (which they weren't).On the plus side: an entire 3 bedroom house complete with washing machine; Bianca was very helpful with requests for kitchen items enabling us to prepare meals. On the negative side: a very cold house with no means of heating except blankets (OK if you like sitting around like a mummy); bedding was summer sheets which made getting into a cold bed really unpleasant; a garage that did not lock and we could not get our car into due to scraping the underneath of the car on the sharp angle of the driveway. The carport was only just wide enough to get the car in but the driver needs to get out the passenger door once parked. There was/is construction happening directly next door with power tools starting at 7am every morning. There is major construction on the road to the airport past Fancourt meaning this road is closed - we had taken this house for proximity to the airport but instead of having a 5min drive we ended up with a 20min drive through town, each day twice a day. Although the house sleeps 6 the kitchen is not really set up for that number. There is a dreadful almost constant smell from the swamp across the road, almost smells like raw sewerage. The house itself is in need of some TLC both inside and out."
