Affordable rates, comfortable, convenient and perfect for families and corporate visitors Riverside Drive is situated in Bluewater Bay which is one of the most popular and peaceful suburbs of Port Elizabeth. Within just a short walk down the Settlers Steps you will be on the river front where we have our own slipway and a little 15 horsepower boat for the use of our guests to explore the river or go on some fishing trips. Long stretches of safe sandy beaches are just around the corner, a mere three minute walk. The life savings club is right across the river mouth where our guests are welcome to go for sun-downers, soft drinks, coffee or tea
Riverside Drive offers four bedrooms, all with comfortable double beds, two bathrooms, an open-plan lounge and dining area, a sunroom overlooking our peaceful garden, a double garage with remote controlled doors, and an outside built-up braai. Our kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for self- catering including a washing machine. In the lounge we have a flat-screen TV with DStv. The main bedroom and lounge have air-conditioning. The house has a huge front and back garden, and both sections are very pet friendly.
The Bluewater Bay shopping centre is within walking distance from Riverside Drive. The airport a twenty minute drive away, Nelson Mandela Stadium a seven minute drive away, the Vista University where most of the indoor sports take place is a fifteen minute drive, the Scribante Race Track a mere five minute drive away, and the ever popular Addo Elephant Park only a 25 minute drive away.
"We will never recommend this place to anyone! The house was dirty when we got there, not cleaned properly prior our arrival. The bedding was old and the mattress we slept on was old and the springs in it made our backs hurt! The house is also very outdated, looks like something from the early 1900's. The aircon didn't work and neither did the aircooler. Several attempts to try and contact the owner was unsuccessful. We had to switch off the geyser every day and could not use the stove/oven as there was not a lot of electricity loaded on the prepaid meter. There is also very few utensils and cutlery in the kitchen and nothing fits together, looks like someone's old stuff. It is also far from the beach, not walking distance as indicated on the internet. Next time I'll rather pay a bit more and stay somewhere else."
