Your hosts, Theuns and Elana Coetzee are the proud owners of Bonnievales stylish and comfortable A Place in Thyme Bed & Breakfast. Their love for the beauty and tranquillity of the countryside attracted them to Bonnievale, where they bought and restored an old country house into a contemporary and classic home and B and B.

All the rooms are elegantly designed around a beautiful and cosy private courtyard area and each room holds its own unique style.

A Place in Thyme is nestled in the lush and peaceful town of Bonnievale in the Breede River Valley on the Route 62 in the Western Cape. Surrounded by the Langeberg Mountains, the vineyards, the fruit trees and the spectacular Breede River makes Bonnievale the quaint, tranquil and picturesque place, which is ideal for relaxation and exploration.

"The host was a bit rude. She knew its for a bride to be and said that she did not allow brides because of all tge people helping the bride. When I booked, she could have let me known and I would have booked another place. No sign, struggled to find the place."

"Our room, the house, parking arrangements and breakfast were all perfect.Things that I appreciated were:*Although the place was fully booked, we were not aware of the other guest. *Lovely shower and comfortable beds*A plunger for making a nice coffee in our room - all the other usuals like tea, milk etc were also there*Excellent breakfast *Huge living room with comfortable chairs if you wanted to sit there.*Beautiful paintings in the house to admire*Good location."

"We were pleasantly surprised at the guesthouse considering the road it is in, and the neighboring houses. The room was lovely and we were welcomed on arrival. When we departed the following morning we were most surprised that the B&B owner had turned into a miserable rude host overnight. Something had clearly upset her and she was taking it out on her paying guests. We took our stuff and left before breakfast just to escape from her. We wont be going back there!"

"Rooms were small but well furnished and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent and was enjoyed around a communal table with other guests. Hosts were friendly, welcoming and helpful with directions. Would stay here again."
