"What a well hidden gem. We so enjoyed our visit to Ashe cottages. The cottage was clean, well equipped and cozy, not to mention the perfect stoep to enjoy your morning cup of coffee while appreciating the beauty of the breede river right below. "Lovely cottage (no3). Simple but more than sufficient and very comfortable. We don't go to watch TV and be in 5 star, we go to sit in a pool, sit on the lawn, look over the river, fish, look at the stars! This is exactly what we had. Our own lovely pool, canoe to fish and comfy beds! (and the cutest dogs! oh and the owners are lovely and so helpful as well!!)"

"We spent 3 nights at the Asher Riverside Cottage number 2. It was absolute bliss. It is extremely quiet, private and relaxing. The only sounds you'll hear is the birds and the river. We really enjoyed our stay. However, I would like to mention that the establishment should make a point of mentioning the "bundu bashing" you need to do in order to get to the river. You can swim in the river but to get to the water is rather tricky. We took our 80+ grandmother with and thought she would also be able to swim in the river but she couldn't get anywhere near the water. There is no direct path to the river. You probably wouldn't be able to take any small children into the water either. The kitchen is well equipped with really nice glasses (we especially loved the wineglasses) and crockery. However, some nicer pots and pans would have been welcome. Fortunately we took our pans. The beds are lovely and the bathrooms are roomy with a really great shower. We also loved the large fireplace and stoep."

"12 of us spent the weekend of the 31st of May 2013 at Asher and it was absolutely stunning. The cottages are very comfortable and well equipped. It was freezing and we spent our evenings around the fireplace inside and the braai area outside. The views of the river, mountains and countryside are breathtaking. We had an amazing weekend! Thank you."
