Phezulu Safari Park

Perched on top of the Valley of 1000 Hills rests three thatched cottages with breathtaking views of the valley.

We offer a Family Cottage, a Four-sleeper Unit, and our Honeymoon Two-sleeper Unit. The cottages are fully-equipped for self-catering, and safe and secure parking is provided. Each unit has been built to afford maximum privacy.

In addition, the Lodge House offers four tastefully decorated bedrooms with en-suite facilities, a lounge with pool table, bar, fireplace, and DStv.

We offer our guests the option to use our laundry service at an additional cost, for guests who stay longer that 3 days.

    11 September 2019

"everything at Phezulu is 100%, enjoyed our stay"

  • "The view of the landscape."

    05 August 2019

"Loved the atmosphere, the people and the activities they have.Have lotion and other toiletries sold in some cases we do not all remember to place everything in our traveling bags ( they can stock a few for emergencies) and 1liter water bottles to be sold please.Facilities where fantastic!"

  • "Phezulu lodge"

    13 May 2019

"Great location, close to restaurants and shopping centers.Much to do at Phezulu Safari Park for old and young.Phezulu restaurant closes at 4pm which was inconvenient as you are not allowed to eat or prepare food in your room, special arrangements had to be made so that you can eat your food which you had to go buy outside. Room no 4 does not have a private exit leading to the outside, so once in your room at sundown, you are stuck in the room.More of a variety at breakfast will be great. Not allowed to braai if you are sleeping over in the lodge itself.NO FRIDGE in your room! Unacceptable!"

  • "Nothing was too much trouble"

    24 September 2018

"Manager was so helpful, sorting out our accommodation issue and making sure we were comfortable. Lovely place to stay and wonderful experiences on site"

  • "Disappointed"

    26 July 2018

"Great views and on site activities were the highlights of our stay.On the negative side, the unit was never serviced during our 3 night stay. Management were not present during the weekend and staff seemingly saw the gap. The kitchen was not particularly well appointed, there were limited cutlery and no stove for cooking."

  • "What a glorious view!"

    02 March 2018

"We really enjoyed our stay! The views of 1000 Hills from the Acacia Tree Cottage was superb! The swimming pool was a hit with our son, as was the croc/reptile tour. Our tour host was very well informed and gave us a lot of interesting information about crocodiles and snakes. In terms of the self-catering cottage, for a group of four, this really was the best self-catering cottage with the best view. The rooms are well-appointed, with a HUGE king-size bed in one room. Very nice to have a bathroom for each of the two bedrooms. Kitchen was clean and well-equipped. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Thanks so very much!"

  • "Reptile park"

"Phezulu Safari Park is a well kept establishment with friendly services assistance. Just wish we had a decoder in our rooms but apart from that it was great."

  • "Phezulu Resort"

    30 August 2017

"The resort is at a nice beautiful area and liked the people and their attitude, the crocodile tour and Debbie is a cool someone. The only thing I would change is to make sure that all the resorts have a braai stand as we booked and we advised that we will be self catering and we were told that we can not have a braai stand.it will also be nice if you could have some cartlery in the rooms for self catering things like plates and knives. Thank you Phezulu...."

  • "One night stay to attend nearby wedding."

    12 May 2014

"Phezulu was happy to let us arrive earlier than the prescribed 2pm so we could get ready for the wedding. We only used the cottage to sleep in and was very comfortable. Our only gripe was that they supplied tea and coffee sachets but no milk, cremora or even long life milk for a cup of coffee in the morning. I did bring this to their attention of which they were very apologetic and offered to make us a cuppa when we handed the keys in. I think R600 for the night was a bit overpriced compared to other places we have stayed in for the same price. They should open the place up prior to visitors arriving to get rid of the "stuffy" smell. Overall pleasant."

  • "Awesome"

  • "Breathtaking"

    30 December 2013

"We spent two nights atPhezulu Safari Park and we enjoyed every moment. The view is spectacular breath taking. Its a stunning place, very quiet, far from the madding crowd and you can hear is the soothing sounds of birds singing. Our chalet was neat and tidy.I will definitely go back for more days if time permits."

  • "Lovely environment"

    15 July 2013

"Very relaxing, calming environment. Enjoyed the surroundings. However the bathroom needs to be fitted with a door for more privacy."

  • "Accommodation experience"

    17 June 2013

"What a lovely beautiful place this is. On arrival, monkeys stole some sugar and coffee from our chalet, but other than that we could not complain. Beautiful view and the staff are all friendly. Lights needed in the kitchen and living area as they are not adequate enough. Lovely, piece full place. Would highly recommend."

  • "Feedback on Phezulu Safari Park"

    03 June 2013

"The bungalow was very neat, the view magnificent. Unfortunately they do not provide the bare necessities for the bathrooms like shampoo and soap so if you have forgotten yours don't think you can go to the spaza shop for supplies, no you have to go into town for them, the geyser did not work and was supposed to of been fixed day 1 but after day 2 we were moved to another chalet. The staff were very friendly except for 1 person who took exception to us reporting the geyser, also they say that there is DSTV in the chalets, when there is not. the 1st night we had no TV at all as it had been stolen or something and thereafter we had TV1,2,3. All in all though after all the niggles the stay was good."

  • "Lovely"

  • "A pleasant stay at Phezulu Safari Park"

    16 April 2012

"The place is very impressive in all areas. Tranquillity, breath-taking landscapes, cleanliness, friendly staff, green energy initiatives, etc. Pity I did not go for a game drive due to incliment weather but I don't regret visiting Phezulu Safari Park."
