"Fantastic stay and very welcoming hosts Hennie and Ronel. Thanks for everything!"

  • "Lovely view"

"Lovely lodge, with nice facilities and a beautiful view. My one warning would be that road there is in extremely poor condition, more of a rocky track than a dirt road. We managed in a regular car but it would have been much easier in a SUV/ 4x4."

"The gravel road is bad, that needs to be fixed as soon as possible. The toilet does not smell good."

"we really had a wonderful time at the lodge. There was enough entertainment for the kids and we took advantage of what the surroundings had to offer. Jennie and his wife were the best hosts we could have asked for."

"Great weekend we had and the lodge was a home away from home, great service we got from Hennie the lodge manager."

  • "A little piece of paradise!"

    01 December 2014

"For a group of 20 something girls, Sparrowhawk was a wonderful surprise. The rooms were immaculate and the host was warm, friendly and eager to help wherever he could. The lodge is tucked away in the mountain and I would suggest a sturdy 4x4 be taken as the road to the lodge can get bumpy.Thank you Hennie! We will definitely be returning."

  • "Awesomely serene and beautiful"

    02 January 2014

"Dsiona and Lawrence are awesome hosts, we stayed there for 3 nights and four days plus an extra two hours on the date of departure. We had a lovely stay. They both went out of their way to ensure that we are comfortable and well taken care off, even providing insights about Hartbeespoort Dam and things to do, could i say we were catered for in a self-catering establishment, as we received far more than we paid for. We had intimate candle lit dinners, and spent our evenings around the fire place. This place has beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. It's serenity can make one even forget they are in Hartes'. The rooms are beautifully furnished and spacious, even took vacation from the shower opting to take advantage of the bath instead. Whilst I hope to make it my hidden treasure, I hope they will grow popular for as long as I am able to get my booking whenever I am in the area."
