John Bailie guest lodge is under new management. With a lot of improvements on the facilities
Very comfortable and spacious bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, tea and coffee facilities, and TVs. Double and
single beds are available.
We feature amazing sea views and a sparkling swimming pool with a lovely braai area in an enormous garden.

There is 24hr secure parking with CCTV cameras.
Dstv packages, free unlimited WIFI, Family rooms available, full conference facilities present.
We host an array of functions, birthday parties, private weddings, baby showers, year end functions

Restaurants, a golf course, schools, and beaches all very close by. Breakfast is served in a large dining room with views of the sea, harbor, and city and also the 13th hole of the East London Golf Course.We look forward to welcoming you soon. We have also decided to remove Backpacker facilities

"This establishment is a dump!!!!Mildew in the shower cubicle, holes in the floor of the build in cupboard, plastic garden furniture in the room, desk falling apart, reception closed with expanded metal, no card facility.Absolute appalling and disgusting. Internet pictures and reality are worlds apart."

"<p>Date: 08/12/2015 All rooms at this establishment not en suite as promised. Pictures on advert not what can be expected. After paying deposit was told that I booked for backpakers room. This room nowhere mentioned in ad. It is an outside enclosed garden shed or stoep. Toilet floor and blankets not clean. Shower curtain moulded. Not ensuite. I left early after one night's stay and was refused a refund of my second night's payment. Could not keep my asthmatic child in such conditions. Thank you. Surett</p>"
