The Big Five Bed and Breakfast

The Big Five Bed and Breakfast is situated in Butterworth which is one of the oldest towns in the Eastern Cape.

The B & B offers seven comfortable rooms that can be booked as a double or a single. The rooms are furnished with king-size, double or three-quarter beds and all the rooms have en-suite bathrooms with either a bath or shower. All the rooms are equipped with TVs with DStv, fans and heaters, bar fridges as well as tea and coffee facilities. Extra blankets and pillows are also available.

Breakfast is served in the dining room and lunch and dinner are available on request. Laundry and ironing facilities are also available and the property is fenced with safe parking provided. Smoking is not allowed inside but a comfortable smoking area can be found outside in the garden.

There are two sites in Butterworth which are worth a visit; namely the Gcuwa Falls and the Bowa Falls. The Bowa Falls has an impressive 100 m drop and is also believed to have been a place of executions.
