  "Booking was easy, communication was 100%, sending us the last details a few days we arrive was a nice touch - we didn't have to go through a pile of emails to find it again. Staff is super friendly.The view was perfect, the included buffet breakfast was a spoil: excellently prepared with a large variety of choices. Getting to restaurants like Marc's Bar and Strandloper is a tiny walk, even at night it is perfectly safe, with lights and CCTV camera making you feel even more safe in the already safe security Calypso Beach. The only disturbance at night was the crashing of waves. We have no ideas, we never saw a single employee (apart from at the restaurant), yet the rooms were always clean when we got back. Magic, we will return!"

  "When we arrived they didnt know about our booking and then told us they havent got a room. After a phone call we were moved to another address with a larger room. But there was no balcony also no bar fridge like it said in the add. Although everything was clean and we had a very good breakfast the next morning we felt that we didnt get what we expected."

  "Beautiful rooms! It's always scary to book online without having seen the actual place. So many times one looks at the pictures of a place online but the reality is far from those pictures. Calypso Lodge was exactly what I saw online. It would be lovely not to have a shared balcony but that was not really a deal breaker. Thank you for a wonderful stay."

  "The ashtray on the table on the balcony had cigarette buds and ash in it when I arrived. It remained like that through out my stay. I am not a smoker. The carpet is really worn. The pillows and duvet inner need some updating too. The view was spectacular. Unexpectedly no wi- fi but the receptionist was kind and gave me a modum with data uploaded. No comfortable chair as on the picture."

  "My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here and booked a standard room (room 13). The good: Spectacular views, friendly staff, clean room. The bad: the room is very small and very poorly laid out. Anyone who is slightly overweight will struggle to move around. There's very little hanging space for clothes and the little space there is shares a cupboard with the bar fridge and kettle, which is corded. So if you wanna make coffee, you have to take it out of the cupboard to pour water. The tv is old and so small, you can hardly see words. The shower door knocks against a poorly planned wall every time it's opened. The room gets very hot in the afternoon- and there's no aircon, making the room virtually unliveable. Breakfast is average and was cold on our first morning. We were placed in a building that is 2 plots away down the road and on the top floor, having to walk up 4 flights of stairs - definitely not ideal if you're unfit. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but unfortunately, this establishment doesn't live up to it's 4 star rating."

  "Went with my wife and stayed in on of the deluxe sea facing rooms. The room itself was exactly as you see in the photos on the site with a little balcony over looking the sea. The sea and the beach is almost close enough to touch - you can't get any closer.<div><br /></div><div>There's a nice wooden promenade that runs along the entire beachfront, which you can use to walk to the restaurants further up the beach (one of which has a nice play area outside it for kids) and the club Mykonos casino area (definitely useful if you want to drink a bit and not worry about driving)</div><div><br /></div><div>No real complaints to speak of. There's only a fridge and kettle in the room with cups and glasses (plus coffee and sugar packets), so you'll need to bring anything else you need from home. Although there was a microwave and plates and cutlery in the common lounge area that can be used if you wish to sit down and eat any food that you have.</div><div><br /></div><div>The staff was friendly and the breakfast was very nice.</div><div><br /></div><div>Really enoyable and will definitely be happy to return.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>"

There is a problem with the privacy while renting room # 1. It shares a balcony with the other rooms and the door that is also the window source for fresh air (there are no aircons) opens out to this balcony - hence no privacy."

  "Loved Calypso Villas views of Calypso Beach and Mykonos. Unfortunately, the double bed was smaller than our double bed at home, so we did not sleep well as it was uncomfortable. We were surprised that we had to walk to another villa for breakfast, as our villa had all the facilities for it. Breakfast was basic and a bit of a let-down, although I did enjoy the yoghurt. The stairs could be dangerous for kids or the elderly and walking up 3 flights (especially with heavy luggage) was not ideal."

At Calypso we got the much needed holiday - just looking out at the sea, the flora and fauna, and the surrounding splendid mountains revives one's soul and physically tired body.
