Die Houthuis

Die Houthuis is located on the Ysrivier Farm in Baviaanskloof. Owners Petrus and Helene offer warm hospitality and accommodation in the houses on the farm as well as the campsites. This spacious house sleeps five people and offers a true farm experience.

The house has two bedrooms; the main bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has a bunk bed and a single bed. Linen and towels are provided. There is a well-equipped kitchen with a fridge-freezer, a two-plate hot stove and a microwave oven. The house opens onto a covered braai area.

The farm is 45 km from Patensie and a working farm that produces oranges, potatoes and tobacco. Guests are able to watch and participate in the farming experience. Day trips to the adjacent Baviaanskloof Nature Conservation can be arranged and guests can enjoy looking for wild animals and admiring the magnificent scenery. Guests can enjoy hiking trails through indigenous vegetation and gorges. A mountain stream is ideal for a cool down along the trails.
