Swartland

Swartland is located on the Ysrivier Farm in Baviaanskloof. Owners Petrus and Helene offer warm hospitality and accommodation in the houses on the farm as well as in the campsites. This spacious house sleeps eight people and offers a true farm experience.

The house has three bedrooms with the main bedroom having a double bed, the second bedroom having a double bed and a single bed, and the third bedroom having three single beds. Linen and towels are provided. There is a large seating area and kitchen equipped with a fridge-freezer, a two-plate hot stove and a microwave oven. The house opens onto a covered braai area.

The farm is 45 km from Patensie and a working farm that produces oranges, potatoes and tobacco. Guests are able to watch and participate in the farming experience. Day trips to the adjacent Baviaanskloof Nature Conservation can be arranged and guests can enjoy looking for wild animals and gazing at the magnificent scenery. Guests can enjoy hiking trails through indigenous vegetation and gorges. A mountain stream is ideal for a cool down along the trails.
