Hillbilly's Cottages

Hillbillys Cottages are situated on Weltevreden Farm in Champagne Valley in the Central Drakensberg - an area which boasts some of the most beautiful scenery imaginable. The area consists of four valleys, beginning with the Champagne Valley in the Central Berg, through the Cathedral Peak and Didima Valley, then the Royal Natal National Park and Amphitheatre Valley and on to the Middledale Pass Valley in the Northern Berg. Champagne Valley is noted for its many different sporting activities, especially golf, for which there are numerous challenging golf courses.

Hillybillys Cottages are all unique and each self-catering cottage can accommodate between two and six guests. Each cottage is fully equipped for self-catering and features its own private bathroom. Bath towels are provided but guests must bring their own swimming towels. In addition, there are also electric heaters and blankets or a fireplace in most of the cottages.

"We had two cottages. Our cottage was clean, although the second room had a leaking roof, resulted in a pile of wet clothes. The second cottage have two rooms on the second floor with a unsafe stairway, whilst the bathroom is situated on the ground floor. I would suggest that the owners take care of the staircase. Although self catering, the fire places as well as the Weber were not cleaned and no extra rubbish bags, were provided. The overall cleanliness of the farm yard, is unacceptable and the gates are a nuisance. The beds, and kitchen equipment are great. The plus is the view and the good location."
