  "It's well located, and good for one night. If you're backpacking try book beds in dorm 7 rather than 9 (much nicer). <br/><br/>Don't expect too much. It's a bed, and a bit of a South African experience.. in the owner's defense they were doing some building so maybe that'll improve the accommodation somewhat. We did get the feeling that the owner doesn't care a lot about how the guests feel. <br/>"

  "It is with sad regret that we were not happy with Travellers Lodge. In my opinion we will not recommend anybody to this place. We booked 2 nights but decided to stay one night only. The room we stayed in smelled hideous and there were'nt even any fans in the rooms.<div><br /></div><div>Unfortunately our stay was not good at all.</div>"

  "Great accommodation at a great price. We stayed in the 6 sleeper family room for 2 nights. Everything was neat and tidy. Phillip is a great host, friendly and welcoming. Only negative thing for me, is the parking as the parking is on the street. Obviously not 5 star, but at this price, Travelers lodge exceeded expectations! Thanks Phillip!"

  "I really don't know where the bad reviews about this backpackers come from. It's a backpackers not a 5 star hotel. Everything was up to standard and clean. Enjoyed our 2 night stay."

  "We were really very disappointed! First of all we paid more than what was initially advertised on Safari Now (when I complained about this Travellers Lodge updated the website and had us pay the higher amount). As we arrived we were told the stove is broken and that the lounge area (the beautiful panoramic view photo they have as part of their advertising) was off limits for guests (since the owners were there). This left us with NO place to cook or prepare any food! There were NO table or chairs or stove or any self-catering options other than a small microwave to be shared with all guests (keep in mind they can accommodate 32 guests). The only table (dirty) was outside... Our dirty dishes stood there for a whole day since we had no place to clean it - when we returned early evening they were still there! They also broke into our car - the lodge is situated in a remote street... Parking is an issue. No complaints about the room and bathroom (oh, we had no warm water on our fist morning), but it was no self-catering backpackers for us. We have been to many backpackers lodges, but this one is definately bottom on my list."

  "This must be the worst place we have ever stayed in. We had booked two double rooms, but were informed that they only had one double room and we could use a dorm - with no one else in it. The double room turned out to be the 'managers' bedroom - with his smelly underpants and huge box of medication to boot. The 'dorm' we tried to sleep in was the garage. yes, weed eater and washing line, cement floor and smelling of petrol and oil. What made it worse, the room had no window. I very much doubt it was legal. To add insult to injury, the woman at the desk accused us of not paying the deposit - which was paid by credit card through Safari Now. I suggest Safari Now takes this establishment off their books. It is a disgrace."
