  "The room was small and we were under the impression there was a balcony but it was so small and only 1 chair. We were not aware there were 3 pubs in the square and hence were up at 2/3 am with lots of noise each night, as the pubs closed. Our fan did not work and although we asked for this to be fixed on day 1, it was not. Not very accommodating for a take away breakfast once we decided we were leaving early on departure day."

  "Wayside Inn was very central with good parking facilities. Food and service were very good and the staff were also very friendly.Only slight downside was that the en-suite was very "compact"."

  "We stayed at the Wayside Inn for two separate nights, on our way to and from Cape Town.It was truly fantastic!They gave us a family room with two bedrooms so that our girls could be right next to us.The rooms were beautiful and very well equipped.Breakfast was great and there was tons of it.I can highly recommend the great hospitality and friendly service - a real must stay!Will stay there every time!"

  "This is excellently placed for exploring Knysna. Although positioned within arms reach of about 3 bars and restaurants, it was very peaceful. We had breakfast on the veranda and had to stop ourselves from eating more, there was so much choice."

  "Die ontvangs was baie goed gewees. Een van ons kamers se vensters het net op die stoep oopgemaak, waar ontbyt bedien is.(al wat sleg was)Die ander kamer was uitstekend.Sal definitief weer daar gaan bly. Waarde vir geld!"

  "Nice B&B with good breakfast but frontside rooms very noisy (N2 location, shops, cinema etc.). Changed Room after first night and had a quiet second night."

  "Jo en Daniel are both very good in making you feel at home, omfortable and save in the Wayside Inn.Jo gives you very useful infomation about Knysna and its enviroment en Daniel gives you a lot of information about the daily life and culture of Xhosa people. We enjoyed every day from our 9 days stay at the Wayside Inn."

  "Our stay at Wayside Inn was excellent.The Inn is in a great location and Jo and staff were wonderful.We also enjoyed the restaurant Carmen's Corner which is situated close to the Inn. (Great Cape Malay food!)Everything at the Inn was perfect.My only complaint was a guest who smoked in the lobby constantly and who kept going in and out of the front door (slamming the door,) to also smoke outside.
  
  Reply from Op :All our suites are non-smoking so if the guests let me know before-hand that they are smokers then I try to give them a suite downstairs with a balcony. Regarding Carmen's Corner they are right - it is a great restaurant and very good value for money.We are lucky in that we have 5 excellent restaurants in Pledge Square where we are situated.
  Thank you again - I'm only sorry one of my guests upset them - if they had mentioned it to me or I had seen it happen, I would have done something about it. Regards from sunny Knysna, Jo"
