  "The Guest House is really very comfortable but our experience was spoiled because we booked to stay at the end of outer trip as it advertises the restaurant. This is extremely misleading as it only opens Monday to Friday but does not advise that it is not open over weekends.Th3 room was comfortable but it would also help if comfortable chairs were provided as the sleeper couch is the most uncomfortable Ive ever experienced, and the tv is set at a height that give one a sore neck."

  "The Village Guest house lived up to its claims. Rooms were good, staff friendly and efficient and restaurant food was great. The only thing that spoilt our stay was discovering that R670 of the bill was in actual fact the commission charged by Safarinow. 25% over and above the normal rate of the establishment is exorbitant. Will not be using them again in the future."

  "Ons het vroeer ingeboek en Franquin was so vriendelik om vir ons die sleutels te gee. Ons het dadelik weer vertrek na die trou venue en die familie. Saterdagaan half 12 was ons terug by gaste huis, maar die remote vir die hek wou nie werk nie. Gelukkig was daar 2 dames wat op dieselfde tyd van 'n ander troue afgekom het, wat die hek vir ons oopgemaak het. Verder het ons baie lekker gebly met baie vriendelike personeel. Ek gaan van die veronderstelling uit die bestuurder van die gastehuis moet op die perseel woon. Toe ons nie die hek kon oopkry, het ons die klokkie gelui en ook gebel maar geen reaksie gekry. Soos ek se gelukkig het die 2 dames daar opgedaag.Baie dankie nogmaals.GroeteWilna"

  "The Village Guest House is comfortable and the staff pleasant and helpful, so it is probably close to a 4. The price for a solo traveller is rather high compared to many other places I stay, and it is situated in the town, so no interesting scenery to view and opposite the church whose clock chimes can intrude. The food is tasty and well-cooked, and reasonably priced, though a glass of wine a little expensive - they ate large glasses though. Free WI-FI is a bonus, but you need more than once if you exceed 100Mb, but this was forthcoming. Generally gets the thumbs up Robin"

  "We couldn't have asked for a warmer welcome, or more genial host. Louis is charming and his staff were friendly and courteous. The gardens are a lovely hidden oasis, and the rooms (we had a standard double) were clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were a bit cramped, lacking shelf space for one's toilet bag or toiletries. We loved the homely, relaxed ambiance of the bar-lounge area, as well as the very smartly laid out and decorated dining room/restaurant. We ate very well, and it was very good value for money. Overall: we left well prepared to return if the opportunity arises."

  "We stayed at the Village Guesthouse for one night in one of the Bronze rooms. Rooms are very spacious and clean and the guesthouse is very nicely laid out. The breakfast was also very nice. Could possible do with an update in decor and painted a different colour, but apart from that it was very enjoyable."
