Bydidam Citrusdal

Bydidam Citrusdal is located on a working citrus and ostrich leather farm with beautiful panoramic views over the dam, of Citrusdal village, and the sandstone mountains covered in natural fynbos. The 4 Star features of each farm cottage include en-suite rooms and queen-size beds with cotton percale linen.

Located in the Citrusdal valley, approximately one hour's drive from Cape Town and just 1 km outside Citrusdal village, the farm cottages are fully equipped for self-catering and feature double doors opening up onto a veranda with a barbecue area overlooking the scenic dam and valley.

Each cottage is equipped with a flat screen TV with DStv for guests' entertainment, or stroll down the lawn to the communal swimming pool deck at the restaurant and interact with other guests. Facilities at Bydidam also include a beauty spa.

"Easy to find. Friendly, helpful and accommodating staff at reception. Flooring a bit cold for winter. Very nice bathroom. WiFi was appreciated despite fairly weak signal. Served us well for a one night stop, and probably will work well as a base for visiting regional places of interest over several days. Unable to properly judge restaurant or more general facilities. Perhaps a touch expensive, but a reasonable chance of a follow up visit"

"Dit sou lekker gewees het as die huisie skoongemaak en gelug is net voor ons koms. Die stoep en buitemeubels was vol spinnerakke en stof wat al baie lank daar sit. Gemaklike buite meubels kort. Die yskas is baie klein. Die skottelgoed was vetterig en half gewas. Die omgewing is pragtg tsv die min water in die dam. Met n bietjie aandag en sorg kan die ervaring baie beter wees."

"Beautiful setting, friendly and efficient booking in, chalets lacking a bit of character, the main lounge TV area very sparse and seating very uncomfortable. Not the type of accommodation you want to spend time lounging around at.Comfy coaches and a nice fireplace will make a huge difference."
