  "The property has some great views of the farming valley and Ceder Berge. The cottage itself was well equipped and comfortable except for one of the mattresses that was in dire need of replacement (we stayed in Fivaz). The only other issue was a group of crazy loud cicada type insects that luckily stopped at around sunset."

  "<p>Our Kliphuis was very neat and well equipped. Very quiet surroundings and atmosphere - just what we needed! We really enjoyed the jaccuzi on the stoep to cooldown from the heat and the walk up to the cave gave us a spectacular view!</p><p>Wish we could stayed longer as the 4 nights we had!</p><p>Thank you for the nice and friendly welcoming.</p><p>PS The road is a bit rough on a normal sedan vehicle but I am sure that differs as maintenance is done on the gravel road.</p><p>Regards</p><p>Emil &amp; Marita Jacobs</p>"

But the chalets are fully kitted out including candles for load shedding, and lovely quality bedding. Will recommend to friends for a weekend away, and you must go for a swim at the Watergat!"

  "Amazing, amazing, amazing! I went here with my family an we didnt want to leave. Stayed in Gustav se Huis, the ideal spot for a large group. Everything is there to make self-catering a pleasure. Kids looooooved the river, and so did the adults. The hosts are warm, friendly and welcoming. The accommodation is rustic and very comfortable. This is going to fast become our favourtie vacationing spot. Bringing the parents up soon :) The surroundings are stunning - river, mountains, farm animals, and just peace and quiet. The best night sky I've ever seen (and we are avid starwatchers). Thank you so much."

  "My wife and I stayed for two nights,25 to 26 January 2013. The accommodation was basic(an ex-SARS railway cottage) but comfortable. There was no radio or TV nor cell phone signal. The air con unit was very old and very very noisy.(temperature at the time was 41 degrees!) The setting is restful, reviving and beautiful. We will certainly return but to a bigger cottage which we saw when we were leaving. This was brighter and seemed purpose-built."

  "The best holiday ever! We were in Langhuis and felt so private and secluded. We spent most of our days in the private rock pool and this was just heaven! It was so relaxing that we decided to make this our new family holiday destination. You guys are great. To top it all off, I have been all over the country and, as an avid amateur astronomer, have never seen a night sky like this one! Beautiful, majestic, amazing. Highly recommended!"

  "Growing up on a farm, I really enjoyed staying at this accommodation. The house and surrounding area was exceptionally clean and well looked after. We even had our private farmyard lawn mowed before our arrival. The weather didn't quite play along for the Spring flowers and we had some rain, but the indoor fireplace and red wine compensated for that. We will definitely make use of this accommodation in future, as well as recommend it to our friends. This will be an excellent venue during summertime, as you will be able to make use of your private rock pool on your doorstep. The well-positioned braai place under the big shady tree will also contribute to everlasting memories, in summertime. We would like to thank our host for allowing us to take our Jack Russell along. A big thank you from Muffin!"

All we wanted was peace and quiet, no cellphones, no computers and no TV.And that we got, But not only that.We fell solidly in love with a gorgeous milky chocolate-coloured pony, Cuppacino, and his side-kick, Martiens the donkey. These two were stroked and treated to apples, bananas, carrots whenever we were not swimming, sleeping, or out for a walk.The mountains are beautiful, and the weather was pleasant, sunny with cool nights.We are looking forward to our next trip. Thanks Francois! We will bring a proper beer for you next time ; )"
