  • "Pet friendly!"

    12 August 2018

"Well positioned for flower season. Basic cottage which can be bit cold (sleeping bag did the trick) but it us pet friendly, they sell wood and Cecile is so friendly. The cost is fairly priced for what u get the only advice I would give is bring ur own braai grid and cleaning liquid. The weavers in the big tree at back door was a delight and we spotted a gennette right at the cottage in evening so that was cool!!"

  • "Peace and tranquility"

    06 August 2018

"The place is very peaceful and close to nature. Unavailability of wifi and cellphone network coverage (at the chalets) gave us more time to talk, and have wonderful times. The hosts are very sociable and helpful.Oh, and the delicious oranges!!!However, a little touch and replacement of some old stuff will definitely make this place a gem"

  • "Nothing to like about this camp site."

    03 January 2018

"DON'T go in summer, you will fry as there is no water. There is a small rock pool that you have to travel 2kms to get to and nothing special, litter there, and share with the whole camp site!!! Our poor dogs and us were soooo hot!!!! We even spoke to the owner and really quizzed her about the water there before travelling up and she lied and said there were places in the river up to your knees and waist, WRONG!! I hate it when oqwners of estabvlishments lie. We left after 2 days (arrived late 1st day) having booked for 5 and asked for a refund, nothing to date!"

"We had a lovely time, the place is a real gem."

  • "Stilte"

    07 April 2017

"Dit was 'n heerlike ervaring. Niks en niemand naby nie, pragtige natuurskoon, alles wat mens nodig het. Vriendelke ontvangs en onmiddelike aandag aan die klein probleempie met die warm water.Al wat gepla het was dat die rivier so laag was; ek sou graag 'n vissie wou gaan vang het.Doen so voort!"

  • "Dit was lekker rustig"

    03 April 2017

"Ek sal graag Desember weer daarnatoe gaan. Dit is rustig en stil. Weg van die geraas waar ons bly. Daar is nie TV`s nie, ons kon net lekker kuier. Pad is n bietjie sleg."

  • "Keurbos Cottage"

    15 September 2015

"On arrival I noticed that the grass had been roughly slashed that morning with a weedeater. The braai grid was useless as it was burned through and thefireplace had not been cleaned. on entering the cottage we saw that the beds had to be made and there were no towels toilet paper or soap. Where we camping or staying in a farm cottage? It took us all of 1 minute to lock the grill throw the keys inside and leave. After two days the owners had not noticed that no one has stayed there or just did not care. We found other accommodation the otherside of clanwilliam with made beds and towels on a farm with breakfast for the same price.Zero stars here."

  • "Enjoyable stay"

    06 October 2014

"The stay was lovely, neat and clean and tranquil! The dirt road was a slight surprise. We will be back!"

  • "Mislead and disappointed"

    15 September 2014

"The description and pictures of the camp site on this website is misleading. It does not mention that there is a huge cow pasture between the camp site and the river. Hence the cow pasture is right in front of the camp site with no river visible. The reed thatch as in the picture is also run down and dilapidated. Braai facilities are also quite lacking as a few steel drums are scattered about. There is not as much as a rubbish bin in sight. We booked for two nights and ended up packing up after the first night. Please request updated pictures and review the description of the camp site to avoid future disappointment."

  • "Keurbos campsite"

    01 September 2014

"We really enjoyed our weekend here. A very pretty site, friendly people and lovely hot showers!"

  • "Overnight stop"

    27 August 2014

"We enjoyed the remoteness and absolute silence around. Very dark at night. We stayed in the Doringboom cottage and it is a little 'tired' but perfect for an overnight stop. A bit misleading finding the owners as we saw the cottages and drove down to them but then drove on about another two kilometres to the farm to get the key. Could be a notice to this effect."

  • "SPRING FLOWERS"

    11 August 2014

"We had a wonderful, peaceful and tranquil time in the cottage. I would recommend it to city dwellers who urgently need a place to distress. The cottage are adequately furnished for the price that you pay for the unit. The tog of the duvets should be reconsidered - a bit to thin for this time of the season - seeing the cottage do not get full sunshine. A WELCOMING BUNDLE OF WOOD would be greatly appreciated."

  • "Lovely Peaceful Retreat"

    09 June 2014

"Quaint cottages, nice big fireplaces, ample space and well supplied. Great value for money! Perfect for a hiking weekend in the Cederberg."

    11 January 2014

"We stayed for six nights in the stand alone chalet, I really did enjoy the stay, the silence at night and all the birds during the day was a change from the hustle and bustle of city life.Although very plain and simple there was everything we needed, at the price you pay I would say it was good value for money."
