No 4 The Mews, is a new modern self-catering home in a secure and quiet area with eight town houses. The Mews is fully walled, and the entrance to the complex is through an electric gate for those who are more security conscious. This makes it ideal for families with small children and pets. There is a charge of R40 per pet per day.
The Mews has two bedrooms and two tiled bathrooms. A spacious open-plan tiled lounge and dining room area opens through sliding patio doors onto a small private entertainment area overlooking lovely views of the mountains and scenery for which Clarens is famous. There is an an oil heater and a gas heater provided for those cosy winter nights.
A fully equipped kitchen is part of the open-plan living area. It has a four-plate hob and under counter oven, a fridge-freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee plunger, ample cutlery, crockery and glasses. Complimentary tea, Rooibos, coffee, creamer and sugar are also provided. The living room includes a TV with DStv & Netflix, WiFi and a DVD player for leisurely viewing when the weather is not ideal for walks or the other various activities that Clarens has to offer. A built-in braai and patio furniture are provided to enjoying the outdoors, completes the picture. A single garage is attached to the house. There is parking on site for a second vehicle.
The Clarens town square, surrounded by its galleries and top quality restaurants, is literally a ten minute stroll away down the tarred Main Street. The house is situated conveniently close to town without having to use ones car, and yet far enough away to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the scenery Clarens has to offer.

09 July 2019"A great little plce for a family of 4. Clean and tidy with everyhting one needs. Beautiful views of the mountains from both sunny bedrooms. We will stay there again! Only thing lacking is burglar bars - all the other houses in the complex seem to have, which makes one think this one should too."

28 April 2018"There is no cominication between the one who confirmed the booking and the one who must hand over the keys. Took me almost an hour to get the keys as the person I had to collect the keys from was not aware of my booking and say she had another booking on her calendar for the night. The geyser was not on when we arrived due to this poor cominication and we could not bath our child before she went to bed. Very bad start to out holiday. (If someone else was booked why was the geyser not switched on just wondering) please advise why this happened."

13 June 2016"4 the Mews is my favourite place to stay in Clarens. The house is neat and cosy with a great view of the mountains and just a stroll away from town or the trails. The garden is tidy and secure; especially useful if you are bringing small dogs along for the weekend. An added bonus is that the owners are pleasant and helpful. We will be visiting again!"

25 December 2015"Secure accommodation which enables one to bring your furry friends along. However, we did not find the accommodation clean or the bed in the main bedroom comfortable. If you are able to overlook this, the unit is a 3 minute walk from town."
