Aspen Guest House

Aspen Guest House can accommodate a total of 11 adults as well as a number of children. The main house offers four bedrooms; Two rooms with double beds and two with double beds that can be changed to twin beds and one self catering unit which sleeps 3 people.We are situated in Clarens, between the mountain and the river. The property borders onto the mountain and has an open space to three sides. The small river running through town forms one boundary, making the whole property the ideal place to escape and to relax.Entering Aspen is the beginning of an experience. The fireplace in the entrance warms the house and your heart immediately. Our rooms are spacious and each is decorated according to a specific theme. With names such as Music, Writer, Nature, Artist and Quilters, you can be sure that you are in for a unique experience. Simply request a specific room on each of your visits in order to experience each theme.

"We really enjoyed the warmth of the facilities, the service, breakfast was exceptional. Also the ability to get to your vehicle which could be parked right outside. The view was magic and the day walks right next door. Everything worked well and I had to smile at a previous comment that one should watch the hot water as it is scalding - well surely one should control it? After all it beats not having hot water.Furthermore the pizza's we ordered from the nearby pizzeria were amazing and the burgers from the local "Friends" were the biggest burger patty I have seen for a long time. Would we go back? Yes, without a doubt."

"Alae is very friendly and hospitable.The rooms are clean and interestingly different. If needed there is fridge facilities. The breakfast is lovely andalso something different from the normal fare. Will definitely make Aspen my choice of stay in Clarens."

"My friends and I enjoyed a wonderful relaxing weekend at Aspen Guest Lodge. We were well taken care of by John! The location is great, we were able to walk everywhere in Clarens. We also played tennis at the courts nearby and enjoyed a walk up the Kloof footpath in front of Aspen. Breakfast was delicious and the lit fireplaces kept us wonderfully warm - overall a great time!"
