Birch Cottage

Birch Cottage is a comfortably furnished self-catering house situated in Clarens, with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. This is the perfect place to get in touch with nature as all the rooms have spectacular views. It is only a short walk from the centre of town. Clarens is situated in the foothills of the Maluti Mountains in very close proximity to the Golden Gate National Park and the Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho. The cottage consists of two double bedrooms (queen size beds) sleeping four guests, a loft area (two single beds) sleeping two guests, two bathrooms of which one is en-suite, a fully equipped kitchen with laundry facilities and a comfortable dining room and lounge area with a fireplace and a flat screen TV with a full bouquet DStv. The veranda is the heart of the home, it offers the perfect spot to sit and appreciate your beautiful surroundings.All year round, but especially in autumn when the leaves turn to gold, the scenery in Clarens is a magnet for artists and photographers. Art galleries, a lovely church and a museum are well worth a visit. The relaxed village atmosphere, spectacular views and mild climate makes Clarens an idyllic weekend getaway.

    "Lovely stay as always, however she needs a bit of TLC in ourhumble opinion, maybe ? Crack at kitchen doir in flor really getting bigger and infront of bay-window in lounge. Window frames needs varnish, paint outside in general. Heaters (on lowest setting) trips the power. Shower tap knobs 'socks a bit, general earthing problem in cottage ?"

    "<p>We had a wonderful stay at Birch Cottage. The cottage is well equipped and fitted out. The beds have lovely clean, fluffy linen and the kids loved the loft room. </p><p>Everything was in working order and the fire place worked brilliantly during a cold snap. </p><p>The location really couldn't be better and you can walk to the village square and all the shops and restaurants with ease. </p><p>The view from the verandah to the mountains is really stunning </p><p>Highly recommended indeed</p>"
