With its prime location just a short 10-minute stroll from the vibrant village center, Clarens Cottage is the ideal base to explore all that this charming town has to offer.As a self-catering accommodation, our cottage is thoughtfully designed to cater to the needs of our guests. With two tastefully appointed bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an inviting open-plan kitchen and living area, our cottage can comfortably accommodate up to 4 guests. The main bedroom boasts a luxurious queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom fitted with all the amenities you need for a pampering experience. The second bedroom offers versatile sleeping arrangements with two single beds that can be converted into a king-size bed upon request. Both bathrooms are well-appointed and include towels, shampoo, hand and body wash, ensuring a truly relaxing stay. Additionally, both bedrooms are equipped with hairdryers and digital safety lock boxes to keep your belongings secure. For families traveling with a little one, an infant camping cot complete with bedding is available upon request. To further enhance your comfort, all beds are fitted with electric blankets, and the unit features free-standing cooling and heating fans.Our fully equipped kitchen makes self-catering a breeze, with a stove, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, and ample cutlery and crockery at your disposal. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the convenient breakfast bar, and indulge in a cup of tea or coffee, provided for your convenience. The spacious dining area comfortably seats 4 people, while the cozy lounge area beckons with plush couches and a wall-mounted flat-screen TV, complete with Dstv Premium channels. The freestanding closed fireplace adds a touch of warmth and ambience to those chilly evenings, ensuring a cozy and memorable stay. Step outside onto the covered patio and braai area, an oasis where you can relax and savor the fresh air. Weber Braai facilities are available for your use, although briquettes, firelighters, and wood are not included. Our single lockable garage offers secure parking and doubles as a perfect place for your pets to stay, with access to a fully enclosed and secure garden area. We understand that pets are part of the family, and we welcome small dogs to join you during your stay (maximum of 2 small size dogs allowed, no puppies). We kindly request that pets are not left unattended in the guesthouse, but you are welcome to use the patio/garage area with access to the secure garden for this purpose. Please note that a mandatory pet fee of R250 per stay (including 2 pets) applies, payable directly to the owner. 28 November 2017"A spotless clean cottage. Equipped with everything one would expect plus much more, and on top of it, high quality utensils in the kitchen and furniture throughout. I think though that the best of all is, there were no odours from the bedding, pillows, towels, etc. One thing which could be looked at, is burglar bars at the opening windows and security doors / gates. All in all, a wonderful stay. Thank you."

02 November 2017"Loved how every basic necessity was catered for. Cats were happy in the garage area. Beds comfortable and got a good nights rest. School across the road and dogs next door can be noisy if you want to sleep in. Glass on road facing windows is tinted yet you can easily see in at night from the outside and barely see out in from the inside, so keep that in mind. These are small things really, all in all it was a pleasant stay and Ill happily use it again and encourage my friends and family to use it too."

A secure fenced-in garden is too rare in pet-friendly accommodation. :) It was also a lovely little cottage, well-equipped in terms of the kitchen, and very cozy (especially the electric blankets). Having DStv was an added bonus. We will stay here again the next time we are in Clarens."
