  "Clarens Retreat was our home for only one night. The unit was neat as a pin and very clean. It had everything we needed and the manager was friendly and welcoming. The bedding and towels were of good quality and Treat restaurant next door served a wonderful breakfast. You can see the owners take pride in their place."

  "We had a very pleasant stay. We were told by SMS where to get the key and on arrival everything was spotlessly clean and the room was comfortable for our one night stay. Location is very good. we could take a easy walk to a restaurant for dinner."

  "My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary during the weekend of 24 - 27 Oct 2014. We booked Retreat 2 since Clarens Retreat was centrally located, affordable and recently refurbished. The room was really nicely decorated and we welcomed the fresh flowers & magazines. Unfortunately, the mattresses were both worn out, our room was not serviced the next morning [as stated on their website] and both the blinds & door was very dirty. Hygiene and a good nights rest should be at the top of your priorities when you state "Attention to detail" on your website. Nevertheless, we still enjoyed our stay, but will sadly not return to Clarens Retreat."
