Highlands Chalets complex is situated in Larola, a suburb of Clarens, only a few minutes away from the buzzing centre. Larola is a secure area with security guards on duty at both entrances of the enclosed area as well as a guard that monitors the complex at night. This assures you have peace of mind and tranquility during your stay. We have secure under-cover parking available and each unit is allocated with one parking bay. Our chalets, in order from exclusive to basic, comprise of 7th Heaven Chalet, Linga Longa Chalet, Thaba Lehae Chalet and Serenity eight Chalet.The chalets are ideal for both small family holidaymakers of four or just for two as a couples retreat. We have a range of chalets, from luxurious to the more basic setting. If you are looking for a last-minute getaway from the busy pace of city life or even a planned holiday, Highlands Chalets in Clarens should be number one on your list. Our chalets offer exceptional value for money for local and foreign guests. Guests looking for convenient accommodation at reasonable prices while exploring the countryside find our accommodation very suitable.Our chalets are all identical in size and layout, however, each one has been uniquely decorated and furnished to create its own atmosphere and feel. All of the chalets have en-suite bathrooms including a bath with an overhead shower, a basin and a toilet. Most chalets have king-size beds which are made up of twin beds with king-size linen, and each bed is fitted with an electric blanket. The beds can be divided on request. Each unit is kitted with all the essential appliances and self-catering facilities, including a TV, a fridge, a stove, a microwave oven, a toaster, a kettle and a heater. All have a private garden and patio area with a braai and garden furniture. A selection of DStv channels are available in all the chalets.Luxurious house-branded bathroom amenities are a standard in every unit, including foam bath gel. Hand and bath towels are provided for each guest. Complementary tea, coffee, sugar and milk are also available. "The chalet was not what was advertised.there are no signs to the chalet.it is part of a complex which should be clearly stated.I was disappointed with the service.There wasn't enough towels for 4 days and when queried nothing was done.The website advertised that it had full dstv however none of movie channels were working.<div>There is no fan or aircon in place yet rated 4 star.</div><div>My overall comment is that there needs to be better service offered to guests and amenities specified should be there.</div>"

"It's not that their directions were bad but saying that the chalets were inside the Cranford Inn complex was an understatement. The chalets are actually Cranford Inn. A sign would be nice so you don't get blank stares when asking for directions. All in all, it's a lesson learnt in getting what you pay for: the facilities were clean, but very basic and instead of a double bed, we had two singles pushed together and you felt the join throughout the night. Our backs didn't appreciate this."

"We enjoyed our stay very much. The place was really l We had lovely weather and enjoyed our shopping experience as well as all the outdoor activities!! The room was beautifully prepared and everything was comfortable and clean. Will definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay. The only thing maybe to look at is the advertisements says Highlands Chalets but there is no board or indicator as you driving in as to where that is. (The board says Cranford Inn)."

"We were a large group travelling together and it was great to have three seperate units near each other. Each unit was unique and quite different - ours had an amazing bathroom (but nowhere to hang a towel oddly) and one of the other units used the loft-space rather cleverly. Clarens is now on my radar and I will visit and stay there again!"
