Each year in March there is a well-run mountain cycle race over four days, combined with a cultural and vintage tractor show. In the areas around Ficksburg and Clocolan it is Cherry Country, and Ficksburg hosts the oldest crop festival in South Africa, The Cherry Festival, in November each year. "Beautiful setting and stunning accommodation"
"Perfect as is, great facility, great location, great hosts!"
"We loved staying here. The chalet was clean and tidy and well looked after, very nice! We went in winter, and our only problem was that the unit was very cold, and the heaters in the bathrooms and bedrooms made no impact, not sure if it's poor heaters or the chalet is not designed to retain heat. Otherwise we loved our stay, and would certainly consider visiting again if in the area. Lovely!"
"Such a lovely stay! Beautiful and so clean! What a treat."
"Excellent accommodation, nice walks, very relaxing"
"Fabulous accommodation but I would mention that the access road can be tricky for low lying cars."
"We did enjoy our stay at Amohela ho Spitskop. You do get great value for your money. The little stove makes it cosy when it gets colder, and the bed is top! Peaceful surroundings, beautiful starry nights! If you do not mind a little ride on the dirt road, this is a great place to find peace of mind."
"we were two couples. The unit was really comfortable and spacious with everything we needed and more. Views are fantastic. Highly recommend"
