A One Guest House

This beautiful self-catering guest house is situated in the interesting little town of Colesberg. Colesberg is a traveller's oasis on the main Cape Town/Johannesburg route, offering many attractive accommodation establishments and entertaining educational distractions.

The town lies in typical Karoo veld and is surrounded by "koppies" or little hills. The most famous is Coleskop, which can be seen from a distance of over 40 km. Early travellers called it "Towerberg" that translates into "Magic Mountain". The curious thing about this "koppie" is that, as you travel towards it, it never seems to get nearer.

The guest house offers three double rooms that can sleep a total of 10 guests. Two of the rooms are en-suite and one has a shared bathroom. Barbecue facilities, a bar and a splash pool are available to guests.

Your stay with us will rejuvenate and replenish you.

  • "Nothing."

"Place was not clean and look unkept. No secure parking for car. Main entrance door to the house looked damaged and just had a chain lock. There was a metal gate in front of it though but again it looked you could break it easily. Obsolete non functional TV.Did not feel secure at all staying over. Will not stay there again or recommend to anyone."

  • "A Guest House"

"Disconcerting sleeping in a room that was obviously the owner's personal bedroom. Clothes in cupboards etc. Personal items in bathroom. Star rating button does not work. Clean, comfy bed, central, fairly cheap. No off road parking"

  • "A One Guest House"

"We stayed in the family unit for one night and found it clean but in need of new sheets. Check- in process where akward to say the least. I stood in pooring rain waiting for someone to open. After calling and waiting a couple of minutes we were taken to our room. Access to the unit was frustrating - you have to walk through a garage. Space is VERY limited with a car parked in the space. We had to squeeze through a space of about 30cm. Our cars did not have a secure parking area - both cars and trailer stood in the street. The guesthouse may allow pets but it's definately not pet friendly - no gras only a sement slab. I will not recommend A One Guest House<br/>"

The unit that we stayed in was very clean and comfortable. It was also well equipped. Will definitely stay there again.<div>Abrahams and Van Heerden families</div>"

  • "Our stay at A One"

    14 January 2014

"It was comfortable and most important Val was SOO accommodating with us checking in early with a young baby after being on the road a long time. No other guest house would let us check in early. She also had a camp cot ready and everything we needed."

  • "Stay over"

    13 January 2014

"It was a very cute little place but on one of the beds it was evident that the bedding had not been washed because there was blood on the undersheet as well as the duvet."
