Ebenezer Guest House is situated in Colesberg, a popular half-way stop between Johannesburg and Cape Town.
The guesthouse has 12 rooms with en-suite bathrooms, TV with selected DStv, coffee and tea facilities as well as linen. Guests have access to shared kitchen facilities.
Enjoy a refreshing swim in the pool after a long drive. Braai facilities are available and it is close to some good restaurants and across the street from a supermarket. Locked parking is also provided for peace of mind. Ebenezer Guest House is easy to find, as it is close to where the N1 and N9 meet.
Colesberg lies in typical Karoo veld and is surrounded by koppies. The most famous is Coleskop, which can be seen from a distance of over 40km. The town has a nine-hole golf course with challenging Karoo fairways but well-maintained grass greens and good club house facilities.
"The stay was good even though it was for 1 night.. Room was clean. Comfortable and would definitely stay over again should i make a trip between cape town and jhb again"
"Room was clean but not as fresh and airy as advertised. No DSTV as advertised. Also felt like we werent expected when we arrived."
"Towel railing in bathroom was not fitted properly and i almost injured myself because of it.The coffee table in the room broke and fell on my feet. It hurt like hell. When i wanted to leave at 07.30 the gate was locked but the owners/reception were nowhere to be found. I tried calling the cell nrs without success. Eventually i found a key rack in the lounge with a bunch of keys. Amongst them i located the gate key which i used to unlock the gate. I then placed my room key and the gate key back in the rack and left"
"It was really just a place to sleep and shower. No other experience other than that."
"One could hardly move, the room was so small, one chair for two people? A plug was held together with black tape, how dangerous. Mould on the walls, no window latches so could not open windows. Bedding clean but night frill dirty. Could hardly brush teeth, bathroom so small, touching wall on one side and shower on the other. Will not recommend"
"Very comfortable stay. A great stopover spot."
"It was lovely and comfortable and easy to find, the rooms are excellent and the staff very friendly and accommodating."
"It was a very pleasant stay over, and very affordable. <br/>"
"Our family of 4 stayed overnight at Ebenezer Guest House on our way home from Cape Town to Johannesburg. We were very pleasantly surprised to find a very clean, fresh and well appointed room. There was meticulous attention to detail from the cushion to placement of the towels and glassware. Sheets and towels were clean and well pressed. The beds and pillows were very comfortable -- it was the best night's sleep we had for our entire vacation. Marie was very pleasant and accommodating. While there was no Wifi, Marie offered the use of her access.<br />"
"The owner was very pleasant and did her best to make sure we were comfortable. A comfortable enough place as a stop over when travelling."
"The stay at the guest house was excellent! Many thanks Mark"
"Having just returned from holiday I am now in a position to comment on Ebenezer. We were put into a room which had a large opening window in which the glass was broken. A small amount of jagged glass remained in the window. We only noticed this when the wind came up and it started to rain. The owner hastily came into the room and hung an old curtain over the window to stop the rain coming in. It is my opinion that this is below standard and unacceptable, especially as this accommodation was not 'cheap'. When we asked to be moved we were told that there was nothing else available. I have a photo of the said curtain."
"No organisation. No access for wheelchairs as advertised. Being wheelchair bound it was very unpleasent. No mnet in room as advertised. It was very hot the day of arrival, the rooms do not accommodate for this."
"The place is a little run down. They were busy with renovations at the time we checked in. We received a friendly welcome and got everything we asked for when we needed utensils for our braai.Disappointingly the pool was unkept with no fence and the grounds rather small for our two energetic young boys. The room was neat. Our stay for one night at Ebenezer was sufficient."
