Olivewoods Bed and Breakfast

Nestled between Cookhouse and Somerset East, at the base of a mountain, Olivewoods is a tranquil place to rest or take scenic walks. Guests can soak up the relaxation and enjoy quiet nights, days of bird song and rural sounds of farm life.

Accommodation at Olivewoods comprises a self-catering cottage and the main house. The cottage has two bedrooms, a small kitchen, a lounge and a large wooden deck. The main house has two spacious rooms. Breakfast is served in the main house and dinner can be organised by prior arrangement.

Olivewoods is a working farm owned by a sixth generation farming family. Guests can take a walk through the forest, which is home to bushbuck, kudu and a variety of birds, and then come home to a sundowner and an evening on the farm.

Wendy and Brett are the most warm-hearted hosts I've ever met, and the lush paradise they've carved out of dry Karoo bush is truly exquisite. I'll treasure the memories of our night there for a long time to come and can't wait to visit again."

"This is surely one of the most beautiful and peaceful stay-overs I ever experienced. Friends thought staying over in Cookhouse environment is pure madness. Well, I am glad I did because I have experienced such tranquility and friendliness that I which I can do that trip again!
