Impangele Safari Lodge
A unique safari lodge born from a passion for the African bush. Where peace and tranquility is found just outside the hustle and bustle of the city borders. The lodge is set within the Letamo Safari Estate in the Cradle of Humankind just outside Krugersdorp.
It boasts three luxury tents each individually decorated with a unique African theme. There is the Zulu Tent, Africana Tent & Colonial Tent. Each tent has an en-suite bathroom with a bath & outside shower. There is also the Stone Cottage, which is very spacious with a separate lounge and patio area. Lastly is the Nguni Room with a fireplace and large outside patio.
The highlight at Impangele is the chef, Jermaine, who will cook according to your personal tastes. Dinners are exclusive and can be very private or be a social affair with a four-course meal accompanied with wine teasers to match each course. Jermaine uses his Cape Malay family background to infuse food with some of his unique trademark dishes. This intimate lodge is perfect for a weekend getaway, romantic occasion or as a start or end to an African safari.

"Disappointing stay"
13 August 2012"We were booked in from 9 Aug to 12 Aug 2012. We stayed in the Nguni Room. Room was very cold, received no sunlight during the day, no comfortable chairs on the patio and not having a TV in the room was frustrating. Nothing to do at the venue and with the bad gravel road one does not want to go out to do something. Food on the evening on 9th Aug 2012 was awful, we had underdone lambchops and by underdone i mean the blood was letarally still running from it - don't believe any chef wirth his salt would have served that to guests. Our experience was so bad that we checked out on 10 Aug 2012."

28 May 2012"We had a lovely time at Impangele in their Nguni room. Pierre is an excellent host and together with Simon they made us feel right at home. The quiet tranquillity at the lodge makes it ideal for a relaxing break and it’s so close to Jhb and surrounding areas, perfect for a one-night “getawayâ€. Food (dinner and breakfast) was excellent - portions were huge!"

16 May 2011"As jy van lekker eet hou, is dit die plek om te gaan. Dekor is baie mooi en alles baie skoon. Diens is vinnig en almal wil help. Baie tyd vir slaap, boek lees en stap. As jy 'n naweek rustig wil verkeer, is dit die plek om heen te gaan. If you like good food, this is the place to go. Décor beautiful and everything very clean. Service quick and everybody very helpful. Lots of time for resting, reading and walking. If you want a peaceful weekend, this is the place to go."
