Karoo Pred-A-Tours

Karoo Pred-A-Tours is a lovely game farm in the malaria-free Karoo countryside north west of the historic little town of Cradock and offers guests the chance to visit South Africas smaller and less known feline predators.Karoo Pred-A-Tours offers guests a choice of comfortable self-catering and B&B accommodation; the Rondavels, the Bush Cottages and the Camping Grounds. The thatched Rondavels combined can sleep seven guests and consists three en-suite bedrooms. The rooms are furnished with single beds and the en-suite bathrooms that have a shower. Bedding, towels, soap and toilet paper is provided and heaters are also available. The unit also has a braai area and is equipped for self-catering. Bush Cottage 1 is furnished with a double and two single beds in the lounge area and has an en-suite bathroom. Bush cottage 2 has 2 single beds in the bedroom. Bedding, towels, soap and toilet paper is provided and heaters are also available. The kitchenette is equipped with a microwave, a toaster, kettle, 2 plate hot plate, tea and coffee facilities, a bar fridge as well as all cutlery and crockery. Please note the units do not have a stove but do have outside braai and gas skottel braais. There is also no cleaning service for self-catering. Limited cellphone reception is available and Wi-Fi, sold per Gig, as well as a laundry and ironing service is available at an additional cost.In addition to the peace and quiet of the vast Karoo scenery, there are opportunities for hiking, birding and game viewing thanks to the vast numbers and great diversity of species as well as the rare species found only at Karoo Pred-A-Tours. Karoo Pred-A-Tours is also home to a program designed to protect and provide public awareness for the Caracal, the African Wild Cat, the Small Spotted Cat and the unusual looking Serval

"The accomodation is confortable with everything as one would expect on a farm. The quietness is especially enjoyable. Wing able to see these wonderful smaller Cats close up and learning interesting facts about them was both educational and rewarding. Being pet friendly is a big plus with our three dogs able to enjoy our holiday with us. It is easy to get to and had some simple mountain paths to explore with our 4 legged family."

"me and my family spend a night at Karoo Pred-a tours. The owner was so friendly. We went on a very informative Cat tour. The cottage was cosy and very neat. had everything you could need for a stop over. The fireplace was a very welcome addition to a very cold night in the karoo. My dog had such a great time roaming around. and the surrounding hiking trails was fantastic. loved the stay and will definately do this accomodation again on our way down to P.E. from Pta"

"Great time, amazing to walk around with the game. WiFi didnt really work and signage to get there is not easy. Hosts are great and relaxed. <br/>Great braai, dining and pool. All comes with the condiments and coffee, which makes a difference for self-catering for a single night. <br/><br/>Establishment Response :<br/><br/>I would like to thank the clients for their review. I am sorry the wifi did not work for them pity they didnt let me know and I would have reset the system. "We arrived absolutely hot and bothered and had to find someone to show us our accomodation which was the young son on a motorbike.He took us to a small badly equipped hut in amongst the farm workers.<div>I feel that it should be advertised as a rustic hut on a hunting farm.</div><div>Nobody checked if we were comfortable or even ok.</div><div>The previous week we stayed at Lemonwood cottages in dargle which was amazing, well equipped and the owner was always there checking on us etc</div><div>I was very excited to go to predatours as I am very interested in wild cats but we weren't even offered a tour or anything !!!!</div><div>I won't recommend it to anyone and my donation that I wanted to make and discuss with the owner will now go to marine conservation instead !</div>"
