Undoubtedly one of Cradocks most gracious homesteads. The unique appeal of this historical house is its genuine shade of yesteryear - old-world charm offering comfortable private and self-contained apartments in a peaceful environment.

The time machine must have dialed back a few decades and came to rest at this peaceful place. The art pieces, antiques, brass beds, wooden floors with Persian carpets all add to the comfort of an unique stay.

The ambience of country charm is also reflected in the guest lounge, the entrance hall and dining room with large wooden frame sash windows and high ceilings.

The historical homestead with its picturesque garden provides a peaceful and tranquil ambiance and has various seating as well as a braai and entertainment area. The spacious verandah is furnished with a variety of tables and chairs and overlooks the garden.

The well-furnished apartments welcome guests by combining elements of privacy and space. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, DSTV, a fully equipped kitchenette, private entrance and seating area leading to the garden and a secure parking area.

Our charming country-style guest house provides a haven of peace and tranquility. The lush gardens, abundant bird life and our hospitality ensures for a memorable stay at Oude Pastorie. The Braai-kaia has a fully equipped kitchen and an under-cover entertainment area, an ideal spot for sundowners and barbecues.

"We spent a night here to give us an opportunity to visit the Mountain Zebra Park, which by the way was fantastic. The self catering accommodation was quaint and comfortable although the bathroom and kitchenette were very small but adequate. I would stay there again.<br/>"

"We booked at Oude Pastorie but on arrival we had to hang around for 20 minutes waiting for the owner to arrive only to be told that we would be staying at one of their other properties in Cradock not the guesthouse we had booked. After driving to the new property this was nothing like the description of the original guesthouse i.e a gracious homestead with a lush garden, instead it was small self catering rooms in a block opening up onto a sand car park. Zero privacy-could not open curtains because windows open into the car park and face the other rooms. The room was hot and dark,1 stale rusk provided in a tin, dirty bathroom mat. Fine for a 1 night stop but we would not stay again (perhaps if we had stayed in the actual guesthouse we had booked we might have)."
