  • "Leaving the establishment"

    09 March 2018

"I was rather disappointed by the state of things when we got to Horseride Inn and the fact that I wasn't contacted to see what was the matter when we left, presents me with a poor image of the place further. We struggled to get in there and luckily the gardener eventually heard us ringing the bell. The place was full of flies, lying all over the bed... There were marks on the duvets...Your kettle was all rusty... And it states in the ad that a scrumptious breakfast is served which creates the wrong impression as it sounds like breakfast is built into the cost. When I asked the gardener about it, he told me that visitors go for breakfast in town and I figured when the owner hadn't let us know about it and there was no book in the room to explain things further (something to consider to help the business... a book of things to do in and around Noordhoek and check in and check out etc), I then realised that perhaps this was not the case. I do think it would have been nice from a service point of view for the owner to ask what the problem was as I am sure she noticed we left not long after we arrived. When requesting some form of refund which I believe to be fair to ask for as things were not quite to standard as led to believe - I received no response of course."

  • "Table Mountain"

    15 January 2018

"We were met with a warm welcome by our friendly and accompanying hosts who were also happy to help with directions and answer all our many questions of the area and things to do. Our goal was to visit Table Mountain which was better than we expected. Our stay was lovely, clean in a well decorated room with all we needed for our stay. We slept like babies, and next time we go to Cape Town, we will most definitely go stay with them again."
