Walkerview Apartments

Walkerview Apartments is situated in the little village of De Kelders, which is located just north of Gansbaai. Accommodation is offered in a choice of three comfortably furnished apartments including a bachelor and two two-bedroom units.

The two-bedroom apartments are furnished with comfortable double beds and each has a private bathroom with a shower. The kitchens are fully equipped and guests can relax in the comfortable lounges, which are equipped with TVs. Dining areas are also provided.

The Bachelor Apartment is furnished with two single beds and has a bathroom with a shower only. The kitchenette is equipped with a fridge and a microwave and guests also have a dining area with a lounge equipped with a TV. Cutlery and crockery are provided in all the self-catering units for guests' convenience.

The units are situated just a short walk of 500 m from the small secluded beach, as well as a bakery and a restaurant, and a short drive will get you to Gansbaai. De Kelders is known as the home of the southern right whale and some of the best land-based whale watching can be done from the rocks.

Various natural caves can also be seen containing stalactites and stalagmites, and crystal clear pools set in the floor with cool water perfect for swimming. The Walker Bay Nature Reserve is worth a visit as it is home to Klipgat Cave and offers a 7 km trail, the Klipgat Trail. Travellers can also enjoy a picnic, swimming, hiking or fishing in the reserve.

"We stayed in flats 2 for two nights. We had a splendid time and would go there again sometime. We had a braai every night while we chatted by the fire. The owners went all the way to make our stay enjoyable. Would definitely recommend it to anyone."

"We have stayed in Unit 3 for 2 nights and our stay was very enjoyable. The unit is very neat, clean and the interior is beautifully decorated. There is everything you need, even a washing machine! The communal braai area is lovely and has a lot of character and a nice warm atmosphere to it! The braai area is also half-enclosed so still nice to use even if the weather is a bit unpleasant. The accommodation is close enough to easily walk to the gorgeous views from the cliffs - truly beautiful! And last, but not least, the host is very friendly, helpful and accommodating! I will definitely make use of this accommodation when I go back to the beautiful De Kelders again!!"

"I spent a weekend alone (without my partner) in De Kelders to celebrate a friend's 50th birthday. I was really impressed with the offering of Walkerview Apartments. The place was immaculately clean and tidy and had everything I needed. I love being outdoors and moped a bit on my way there that I booked a place without a balcony. Big was my surprise when I saw and later enjoyed the huge and neat communal outdoors area. The welcome was friendly. I truly believe that this is excellent value for money!"

"It is a very nice comfortable apartment. Has everything that you need. Was just a pity about the weather otherwise we could have enjoyed there outside braai facility. Could they possible put a picture on the glass door as I walked into it thinking it was open. Hurt my nose."
