  "The management and maintenance needs attention.The experience at the restaurant was not good. When asked about the food, the criticism on the unedible bacon was not received well.The chalet was not equipped with all it said it was.Building rubble resulted in tire damage aswell as personal injury.Definitely not a place we will visit again."

  "Went there not expecting much for a 2 star fishing resort. The lapa is basic and sufficient. The cleanliness of the place however is terrible, had to wash all the cupboards and crockery before use. Spider webs under tables, couches and beds. There is an electric problem causing the electronics in the kitchen to "shock" We had to endure a 2 hour screaming match on Saturday night between staff at the restaurant and waited between 1-2 hours on both occasions for toasted sandwiches. My 8 year old did however enjoy all the rides (R20 each) and overall we had a relaxing time."

  "Hi this is Susan Richards. I've booked a place there by you for the easter weekend for two days that was the most unpleasant stay for us. First the safty for my kids was not nice the bars is so lose not even tight probely tight. When we enter the place it was full of spiderwebs under the ved beside the bed in the shower it was looking like that place wasn't clean for months. Then I looked at the list for the things n the lapa it wasn't complete everything wasn't there like the list said. So I went to the office tell them she said she will sent somebody to check the things. Then the lady come check said she will bring the stuff that short so she come with the two forks and the broom she said she will bring the knifes now she didn't. So latr that night we order food the toast was so hard my husband couldn't eat it the nuggets was soo hard and the chips cold and old for that price. The cuttlery was still dirty the pan had still egg in from the prevous people we must wash everything before we could use anything. And the the friged is not working probelly. If I touched the stove to make some breakfast it shocked me cause all the cables are lying in the water. So yes we didnt have a pleasant stay there and I will lie if I said me and my family enjoy our stay."

  "the campsites were poor, no water or electricity available, the restaurant closed, the abolution far away from campsite, but it was quiet as the entertainment machines and waterslide did not work."

  "Owner Carl extremely rude and unprofessional. Don't want to give our money back. We drove 2 and a half hours with two children only to find the place dirty with beer bottles and wipes everywhere. Bathroom extremely dirty. Not suitable for a family. We had to drive back home without our money or decent place to stay. It was false advertising. Worst place ever NOT EVEN WORTH ONE STAR DISAPPOINTED"

  "The area is nice but the renovations make the place look cluttered. We had to beg for extra blankets. I feel that management still needs to be more accommodating to different racial groups. We only received friendly service from the restaurant manager whe we said our goodbyes."

  "I was pleased to see the room in a clean state, the sheets were very clean and smelt good. Privacy is given. All meals are prepared well and taste great! The reception is top of the range, the staff is friendly and accomodative.Improvements: Not all activites listed on the website were available on site."

  "We were pleased with the service, accommodation and food at Anchor Creek Marina. There was plenty to do for a family...braai, boat rides, paddle boats, fishing, fun rides, swimming etc. All staff were pleasant and most accommodating."

  "My daughter and I stayed there on the 21 September. Thinking it was self catering we arrived with a cooler bag full of food. What a disappointment when we got to the room. Hidden in a bush in the back of nowhere we where taken to a room no bigger than a shoebox. No tv no towels no fringe no microwave. Akettel one cup and saucer!!! So having nothing to do but go to sleep at 8 oclock we start off with neighbors having one hell of a fight. That fighting carried on untillwe think the man passed out!! The crying woman eventually put us too sleep. How amazed were we the next morning to find the voices of what we heard through the walls to be the people running the restaurant. The best part of the whole stay was the breakfast. There was a guy named john who was running around trying to keep everyone happy but having no help from anyone. One cannot expect one person to do everything. That's not fair!! His service was great! Thanks but no thanks. We are use to better than that!!!!"

  "Not up to standard for what you are paying. Poorly equipped. Shower drain was blocked, had to dig out loads of hair and rubbish to unblock it to be able to use it. I doubt if it was ever was cleaned. Sleeper couch did not fold down flat and it was broken. Railing to stairs loose. Staff at resort not friendly at all. Never again!"
