  • "The game drive and relaxing with the boma fire"

    29 May 2022

"This was our first time in Pride of Africa Game Reserve. We really enjoyed our stay in 39 Hunters Pride. Our hosts, Eric and Lollie made us feel at home and made the game drive really enjoyable, by providing us with interesting facts about the bush and the animals. The house is beautiful and so spacious. It has everything you need, even knee blankets, coffee flasks and travel mugs to make the most of your game drive. The Bush Babies and regular visits from the local zebras and warthogs made our stay extra special! What a wonderful experience, thanks!"

  • "Beautiful surroundings but in need of maintenance"

    27 November 2017

"Our stay at Hunter's Pride 39 was extremely enjoyable even though it was raining most of the weekend. But this beautiful unit has a few niggles which need to be paid attention to in order to make it a fantastic experience:Exterior:- Fireplace/braai area had no wood available, even though 4 bags were meant to be provided according to the owner. - Replace safari chairs outside (only plastic chairs available)- No umbrella to be found outside- Jacuzzi wonderful, but not cleaned upon arrival even when covered with sailKitchen: - Kettle should be replaced since its paint is stripping on the inside- Dirty glasses in cupboard - Not enough cutlery or crockery for 6 people (only 6 of everything) - thus having to put dishwasher on after every meal- Only 1 pan available to make meals- Not enough clean dishcloths (no spares)Interior:- Hole in the main bedroom's ceiling should be fixed- Skirtings of corridors are coming loose- Loose fittings on tiles in 3rd bathroom- Netted curtain in one room is torn and not replaced- Towels and bedding could be replaced since it is stained and looks worn down, also smelling of smoke"

  • "Beautiful accommodation and setting - lacking a few things"

    10 July 2017

"It is nice and quiet there, house is spacious. But need a few improvements...*it is very dirty in the house, not cleaned propely. *Things are left from previous people in the drawers and dustbin, as well as old rotten food in the oven! *Less than half a toiletroll per toilet, and only one extra full roll for the house, this is not enough for 6x adults. *They told us there is braai wood as well as firewood for the firepit, but only 3 bags of wood in total was given. *When asked for more wood they only gave us one more bag which is not enough for braai en the firepit. *No extra wood underneath the braai as advertised on your photo and website! *Gamedrive was done in a rush, we drove only in circles and tought he could have driven further away as we had 2hrs, the reserve is big enough?"

  • "Nice luxurious place with a few issues"

    08 March 2013

"Hunters Pride 39 is a very nice and luxurious house with good space for six people. Small things did not work, like no batteries in AirCo remotes, some bulbs missing, too little crockery etc and not enough pans, one of the doors to the patio could not be opened, no handsoap in the bathrooms etc. In general not really as clean as one could have hoped for. The game drives were ok - but Dinokeng should stock up on the more famous animals, like the big five (as Dinokeng promises to be a big five area), giraffes etc."

  • "Stunning"

    29 November 2011

"Dit is 'n awesome plek en ons sal beslis weer gaan! Dit is so naby aan Pretoria, kan maklik Vrydag na werk in die kar spring en nog daar wees voor die son sak. It is an awesome place and we will definitely go again! It is close to Pretoria. You can easily jump in the car on a Friday afternoon and be there before dark."
