  "What a fantastic break! Walking with our dog in the untouched nature. Very dog friendly and lots of peaceful picnic spots. Definitely take picnic hear with and a good book to read under a shady tree. It was a great break!!!!"

  "The unit could do with some TLC. We found the unit to be very, very cold, even with the fire going the whole day. Heaters should be provided for each room. 2nd bedroom upstairs no plug points so no way to heat up that room."

The dogs absolutely loved it and loved swimming in the dams. The breakfast was amazing! Will definitely go back in the future. It was such a relaxing weekend!"

  "Quite a way out of town so visitors need to plan their stay and buy all groceries beforehand. The mine close by impacts on the atmosphere and noise. Note- there is also no cell reception of any kind."

  "The road to Riverman not the best, but part of the experience. The accommodation was excellent, well maintained and met all our expectations. The lack of cell phone reception made it an even better stay. It is a beautiful setting and the thunderstorms and lightning experienced during our stay, made it all the more special. We can definitely recommend the bacon and cheese burgers at the restaurant - they were absolutely delicious!"

  "Thanks to Percy and Karin for a very lovely stay.We stayed in the Wiggly Stone cabin. Very nicely decorated and comfortable, love the fireplace. The food was also excellent. If you seek quiet serenity, fresh farm air and waking up to the birds chirping, this is the place to be. Will definitely be coming back for a longer stay. My little one had a blast playing with Jack the dog. Child and pet friendly. The road via Stoffberg is also quite manageable, the dirt road is not too bad.Hope to be back soon. Zach and Hanlie Smit"

  "It is the second time we have stayed here. I think it is looking a little tired. No plug in bathroom basin. I think it needs new linen and the bathmat needs to be thrown out as well as the bathroom curtains. Otherwise the place is clean. Lovely fireplace for the cold nights."

  "The Riverman Cabin is a great place to get away from the noise of the city and to recharge. Situated in a quiet country side with limited cellphone coverage, you are forced to take a deep breath and relax. The road from Dullstroom was not the best, but it was manageable. The host was very friendly and helpful, making for the perfect stay. Will recommend it to anyone looking for a short breakaway."

  "Firstly I would like to thank Percy and Karen for their wonderful hospitality! They are two young people who take their jobs very seriously and honestly go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable! Percy is also the chef at the onsite restaurant and goodness gracious but the homemade bread and burgers are out of this world! The units themselves are beautiful, private and well decorated. The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you could think of needing! We stayed in the Wiggly Stone Cabin, which is a little more secluded and private than the other units, which was wonderful."

Everything was clean and tidy and Karin went out of her way to accommodate a large party and all our requirements. Will make use of this venue again. Access roads from Dullstroom not very suitable for normal sedan."

  "The accommodation was ok however I think the owner would have been more forthcoming with us regarding the fishing. From the messages we sent before we booked I had advised her we did not know about fly fishing and that we want to do fly fishing. I even told her we did not have rods and she said we could hire fly fishing rods from them. I asked if the dams were stocked and messaged that we were coming especially for fishing. We caught nothing except tiny fish with a net. When I asked Percy about it he said it's the wrong time to trout fish. I think because they could tell I didn't know anything about trout fishing they should have mentioned this before booking and paying. Percy said it is not impossible to catch a trout and he would come and help but he never did. As you can imagine the five teenagers with us were very disappointed. <br/><br/>ESTABLISHMENT RESPONSE:<br/><br/>Dear Jackie,<br/> <br/>Please be assured that my intention was not to lure you here just to get your money. The weather this weekend caught us off guard, as it is not usually that hot and if it is, it usually cools down later in the afternoon. Ourselves, as well as the neighbor stock our dams on a regular basis, but unfortunately the weather just did not play along, which is something I could not have predicted.<br/> <br/>Percy also apologizes for not being able to come and show you guys the ropes on Sunday morning. Unfortunately our cleaning staff never showed up on Sunday, thus we had to go and clean the restaurant ourselves in order to open for breakfast. He hoped that the tips he gave you about extending the leader line would help to get to the fish, which were escaping the heat at the bottom of the dam. <br/> <br/>Nevertheless, our staff not pitching was not your problem, and I would love to make up for your bad fishing experience. Should you ever be in the area during the winter time, you are more than welcome to come and fish free of charge. If you give us a call beforehand, I will also make sure that Percy is available to show you the ropes and I you can use our rods.<br/>I would also like to buy each of you a drink in our restaurant if you do decide to take me up on my offer, as I truly feel bad that you did not get to experience what you came here for."

  "The peace & open space. Our Golden.Cabin was very dark inside. Thank you for allowing us to bring our 2 Border Collies who were bathed & have Frontline applied monthly to protect them from ticks & flees. They are not allowed on furniture, however we were bitten badly at night whilst sleeping. Didn't notice mosquitoes so not sure if it was bed bugs. A beautiful area to visit. Thank you very much."

  "We slept in a 2 bed 4 sleeper wooden cabin. It is very well appointed and beautifully clean. The beds are beautifully comfortable too. Loved the beautiful views and the pure air. The little one eyed Jack Russel was a very sweet little visitor as well. The only down side was the very bad sand road from Dullstroom to Riverman Cabins and the other accommodation in the area."

  "<p>We arrived at a very depressing, almost desperate looking establishment.</p><p>The 'restaurant' is a wooden building which serves a driving range. </p><p>The gravel road is terrible and long - I wouldn't recommend driving to this place and risk damaging your car in the process.</p><p>No character in the unit. Sticky kitchen counters, cow hide on the floor (this made me feel sick as I'm a vegan),strange sweetsmell that wouldn't go awayand a very dark room.</p><p>Rather spend more money and stay closer to Dullstroom. That's just my opinion.</p>"

The staff are all very helpful and friendly, and the surrounding area is quiet but has a good selection of places to eat, fish and explore. Just be aware it is quite a long dirt road to access Tonteldoos. All in all it was definitely a repeatable trip."

  "What a wonderful time we had at Riverman Cabin over Christmas 2013! The Rainbow Cabin was a home away from home! Not even the funny weather could spoil our time on the farm. The fishing was awesome and what nice cycling we did in the area! Thank you again to Karin and Percy who made us feel so welcome! I would recommend this stay to anyone!"
